Sup Guys, my sleep is more messed up than ever before. Its mostly me
staying awake for massive periods of time due to awkward sceds or from
waking up at the most awkward times such as waking up at 1am after
sleeping for 8 hrs. KK so lets see what l've been up too. 1/27 Sunday hit the Pre-release Gatecrash Magic the Gathering Tournament. Met up w SteveF SteveC Hack and MattH. Scumbag Squad rolling over to dominate the nerds!!!!111 Hahahha but it was good being w the guys that usually make it to our 'nerd night' and we all tried our first game of Sealed format as we are use to playing Standard Format which is totally different. Sealed you are ONLY playing w the most recent cards rather than the latest 2 trilogys and the core(4-7 sets depending on time of year). So the value of each card of course becomes higher. Shitty cards become playable, good cards become game enders. Sat down and we joined our Guild and l went for Boros since l played Boros wayyyy back the first time Ravnica came around. Its Red and White which red is my best color and white being my 2nd best and they are very similar and attacking early w little guys. Just red doesnt give a shit who dies and keeps attacking where white you want your guys alive as they generally benefit from each other being in play. So Boros just naturally felt right for all the reasons. Reading up on Sealed Format, l read creatures win sealed, always have a bomb(expensive but powerful card) and mid tier 2/2 3/3 guys are what you'll mostly be playing. So Boros happens to be amazing at having great 2/2 3/3 3/2's and we open our packs and junk and built our decks. So its Swiss format meaning, if you win, you keep playing the other people that win, if you lose, you play other losers. So l won my first game 2-0, then played someone who is 1win 0losses like me, won the next game 2-0. Then won my third game and then my fourth. The fourth game l won was against another opponent who was 3-0. At that point of 73 players... l was in the top 4. Me and the guys got lunch and we kept up w each other after each game how we did and what happened. It was a lot of fun having them their. Hack was doing terrible lol and SteveF was doing well. We got food and the guys told me how l wouldnt be modest if l did well. l started singing an obnoxious song 'l am not modest, l am not humble, l am the greatest!!' and then we went back and l lost the next 3 games 0-2 flat out. Karma just hit me terribly. l ended up placing 20th of 73 players lol. l got mana fucked a few times and my deck wasnt playing out normally at all. YeaaAaa not good. It was funny seeing the guys play against kids too. l didnt play any KIDS but the kids were beating the guys hahahaha l found it entertaining. Left when we all were done our 7 games and then hit Brown's for AFK Bot night w the hookah and Homeland. Smoked hookah w the guys and caught up bout our week. The hookah got me maddd light headed this time around, no idea why. Good times w the homies tho and hit home late and knocked out.       Monday Vicky came over and we had our own day together. Took care of work throughout the day and spent time w her making food and watching Breaking Bad. Always a good time. We napped and woke up almost falling off the bed. She always sleeps in the middle of the bed but towards me so lm like feeling the weight go off the side lol. Oysters btw.... so0o damn good hahah l loved it. Really had a nice day w her of course as alwayssssss.    Tues was a full day. Woke up and hit up Long's office and got the passes for the Chinese New Year Event. Afterwards, did house showings w Billy(bboy Mantis) in Philly for a while. Good times catching up as l havent gotten to talk or party w him much since it got colder. Had to kill time b4 l could give the passes to Karen so hit up Delilah's for an hour for a drink and bullshit lol. First time back since summer time. Afterwards met up w KarenM and JessH came through and we got Chiptole and talked bout tons of junk. Gave them the passes as the girls were also going to promote for the Chinese New Year Event. Talked bout future plans and stuff and had a good time. Hit back to my office as l had to use the fax/printer/scanner. Did work for a lil bit and then hit home when Rita came over to chill and smoke hookah. Just hookah and talking for an hour as she needed her 'fix' lol. So smoked and caught up and got to chill w the her new puppy as well. Ended the night on the phone w Vicky hehehe talked and the did COD w Goof and friends for a bit.     Weds didnt do much at all but work and video games. Uhh yea lol it was one of those myself days. Woke up late and kept it simple and slept a lot. Thurs was much of the same but l actually hit the office lol. Just a lot of work w the new accepted offer. My first short sale so l have a good amount to learn about how these work. Did more gaming and had a good time w myself. Friday hit my office in the morning and then got Vicky. We got Hot Pot and Korean BBQ at a place where the BBQ is endless at International Smokeless BBQ in South Philly. HOLY SHIT SO MUCH FOOD!!!!!11 It was DAMNED AMAZING and l stuffed face hardcore. Seriously... the food was amazing. If lm ever around there, thats my spot. Me and Vicky got mad stuffed and kept eating just to try to finish it lol. We hit back and l got Magic cards and she helped me open them as l got a box. She couldn't believe she was doing that haha. Ate and napped and woke up and hit the Delta party. So we got there and parking was a bitch. Finally found a spot and got in and found Adam, the Sigma girls, Dat Victor and saw random friends including one of my fraternity brothers KevinS and my crew member Tommy. So ran around, drank and socialized, Victor poured vodka into my cup of beer which explains my hang over the next morning. Went a bit wild in the living room and Vicky was toasted enough to act stupid w me. l love when she acts dumb w me. l just like Silly ya know?! So we partied there all night and dropped her off when we pced and had a really good time.           So got little sleep as l woke up for another Sealed Format Magic the Gathering Tournament. Took 2nd place as my 'pool'(cards opened) happened to have a lot of good cards for Boros and l was just gonna play Boros style no matter what cause l think its the best and lm not familiar w the other guilds. So l got lucky and had a good build for what l wanted to do. A 1/5th chance of that. Slaughtered people and accepted a tie game for my 4th game to have enough points to be in the Top 8. Pretty much, you just need enough points in the Swiss Format to make Top 8 then from there, it becomes single elimination. So took out the people of my first and second game in Top 8 and then lost in finals to a guy w a similar deck build. It was a Quebec Qualifier too so if l woulda won, if l go to this Tournament in Quebec, l get to skip a bunch of games and automatically higher in the swiss format seed which is nice cause its pretty much saying l start w several auto win games on my points in the Swiss format highly increasing my odds making it to the Top 8. After that, pced to my crew + Villanova's bboy event Kingdom Come a 2v2. Watched the battles, caught up w friends and had a good time just being there and being w friends. l've been in and outta the scene lately but l'll be focusing hard into it soon enough. Work has been very well but very busy lately. Watched battles, ran around and got food w Asil RyanW and Lori. We then hit Kenny's for the massive house party and you know, l figured it'd be a bboy jam after party, mostly bboys. Well, Kenny and his friends know girls lol cause there was much more girls than anticipated. So Ryan and Lori brought peppermint shots and that got everyone in that MOOD ya know?! So we started doing shots, drank and danced and wally's were EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!111 Like who didnt get a wally?!?!?! Hahaha its so immature but so awesome. So ran around, partied in the bathroom, beer pong in the front room, people dancing all over the place and yea..... its weird that nothing really ever happens as these parties, like its just dancing, drinking and beer pong. But the night was WILD!!!!!!!1111 Awesome partying w my crew and friends and yea it was just an amazing night of getting drunk and doing practically nothing but having the best time of my life hahahhaha, house parties are funny like that.                    Sunday 2/3 slept like all day and felt like ass cause l was awake for over 24 hrs on friday, got like 5 hrs of sleep then tournament, bboy comp and then house party on sat lol. So l slept and felt like ass and woke up late and hit Brown's. Hookah and Homeland w the guys. Didn't do shit. We were mad bummin it. l loved it. Talking bout nerd shit like comics and Magic the Gathering. Its always a good way to end my weekend w the Bots. Watched the Super Bowl and Brown was close to winning one of the quarters in his company you know, point thingy where the score needs to end specifically one certain numbers. He didnt get it tho lol. Baltimore Ravens won and alllllll my MD friends flipped major shit haha. Played COD w the guys at the end of the night.    Monday woke up late and did some day work. Kinda bumming it as l was still extremely exhausted from the weekend. At night had nerd night kinda just w SteveC Hack and Greg. Did a lot of deck building and coming up w a Boros theme deck. Trying to find a set up to make a high level deck that isn't the typical decks coming up in Top 8 at tournaments but its hard to invent something so great that hasn't been done regardless of combinations. Its mostly just modifications off the same thing. We'll see but focusing on the combination of Bloodrush, Lifelink and Double Strike. The combination of any 2 of them occuring in one hit is critical and by having every card go for 1 of the 3 abilities should just make for great combos. As always, when the whole deck is like one giant combo and everything works w everything else, you arent depending on NEEDING a certain ONE card(you can have 4 in each deck) but rather many cards. It increases consistency. So played some games w the guys and then we ended the night getting Applebees appetizers lol. Hit home and ended the night w Vicky on the phone. Always feeling peaceful when talking and knocked out pretty well lol.   Tues woke up and doing some research and sending listings to clients. Did the work thingy and hit up Philly for Copabana for the Street Fighter 4 tournament. Well entered UMVC3 too. Black Nasty came through to chill w me too. Met people and made new friends but lost to Dr.Chaos, a Philly legend first game who l think won the tournament. Beat my next opponent throwing and baiting a lot and baited more and more in the next games after l was eating too many DP's. Lost to a new friend in the final round final game against his Guy. Got beat in UMVC3 but 2-3 against each opponent. Pced out and hit Yakitori Boy w Adam and Vicky. Black Nasty came w. We had drinks and food and it was just a good evening for Adam's birthday. Nothing too crazy just skewers, drinks and friends. Very nice night w the gf and homies and pced home.      Weds got my haircut and damn l look good as shit again hahaha. Hit Delilah's on my way down to MD and then got to the tournament at Xanadu. Well.... there wasnt enough people so they didnt hold it. l was pretty pissed as they advertise it and all. But yea, apparently every single weds they have a tournament but only once a month is the BIG tournament, wish l knew. But lucky they had a magic tournament Legacy Format but l only had my Standard Decks so l was only using cards from the current 6 sets while Legacy is all sets besides banned cards. Yeaaaa so at a pretty big disadvantage and wish l brought my Legacy deck w me. So did fairly well and only took out 1 of the 3 opponents but held my own for having such a disadvantage. People told me tho l had a disadvantage, red sligh is still red sligh regardless and even tho l wasnt using all the cards possible to my disposal, its still hits fast and if l can hit fast enough, then lm good. Afterwards pced to bboy practice at UMBC as it was only 12 mins away. Stopped by and first hit upstairs and met up w MichelleW and watched the sorority stroll they were practicing for the next night. Met a bunch of the sisters and its crazy, l knew no one there but 2 yrs ago l knew them all. Ahh times change lol but it has been 2 yrs. The ones l knew back then all had graduated... l think. Good times chilling tho and then hit practice. Worked on my new set for a lil and Goof gave me a really good idea that leads to a lot. Just getting over that SPOT ya know? Sometimes you just run into a thing where.... you like everything up until a certain spot and then you just cant figure out what to do from there that goes w the flow, the momentum and the style and speed of what you were doing before. In the end, it has to have flow. To make sense. Good times being w the MD bboys tho as Domkey Goof Heavenz Crew Bounme even Jose were all there. Hit back to Bounme's and chilled b4 knocking out.           Thurs woke up and pced to VA to chill w Lani and bboys and friends. Hit the hookah bar and got a hookah and food and good catching up w Lani lately. Crazy how many hookah tricks she has for such little time smoking hookah but she does smoke everyday lol. Got some food and a ton of people came through. Was introduced and had a good time smoking hookah all evening. Its crazy how big the bowls are. Cool meeting another old school LOZ bboy as well and l def plan to go visit all them again at the hookah bar my next MD DC VA trip. Hit home and just chilled in the kitchen w Bounme and Kotey, watching vids on youtube, cooking and bumming it. Very chill evening w the homies and had a good time just chilling and socializing w them.       Woke up Fri and me and Bounme had a chill day. He was working from home so l got to see some of what he does. It was pretty cool looking into that career field and was always something l was interested in. l mean.... lm huge into gaming and lm huge into testing. Balance testing really. Trial and error on everything in a game. Just instead of doing it to get information to play, it would be to make sure the game is balanced and does not have bugs lol. We watched most of another one of the Naruto Shippuden movies. In the afternoon l passed out for a bit as l didnt get the best sleep. Just sleep in general, it can be so random w me lately, l have no control over it. Woke up in the evening and hit Vee's new spot in Baltimore, its not her longterm spot but just a hotel for now until she moves into her new spot. Got some food and then we started to pregame... w Patron all baller status lol how Vee loves to do it. So Patron........ its still Tequila... lol we got quite ham. We bounced to Red Maple to meet up w everyone and Bounme hooked us up on MikeL's guestlist and got us in free. Adam and Will came through as well. So introduced them to a lot of the MD squadron. Of course Vee became friends w people quickly and all l had to do was introduce her lol. Just was on the dance floor most the night dancing w friends or w randoms. We met a group of girls and partied w them a good portion of the night. Hit back to Vee's to end the night and chilled a lil b4 knocking out.        Sat morning we woke up and l didnt feel so great but l got better as the day went on. Will was ok too and we left to get food and meds for Adam and Vee. Both of them were hung over as balls, l felt really bad. So made chicken noodle soup for them. Got Advil and chilled all day watching Bond movies and lounging around. l even made pretty good scrambled eggs!! Later on pced to get dinner w MichelleW to catch up. Talked a lot bout what we been up too and future plans and w rent and finances. Always good chilling w her and its crazy l didnt see her for like a year and now its like 3 times in just 6 weeks lol. But yea, had a nice dinner and then bounced back to PA. Hit up Delilah's as l had to kill a little time and it'd be pointless to go home only to go right back out into Philly to see Vicky for her Birthday. Well her birthday technically was on the next day Sunday. So ran around Philly hitting up flourists spot after spot to find Vicky roses for her birthday. Then liquor spot after spot to find vodka haha and finally snuck to Isarin's where Vicky was to surprise her. But Vicky hating surprises already knew that l was coming lol. l cant surprise her for shit. Played w the dogs and smoked hookah and chilled w Vicky Isarin Minh and Tenzin. More friends came through and we drank and smoked and l took a lil nap for getting lack of sleep next to Vicky teehhehee. We then pced to Sound Garden and holy shit finding parking was a bitch. Big ass event tho and helped ChristinaZ and AmyW get in as they drank some of their bottle they were bringing for BYOB lol. So Sound Garden was mad fun and first time being in that venue since the old ass Club Egypt days back in 2002-2005 when l use to go there. My first real club that l use to go to for 14-18 night 5-10pm on Sundays when there would be no school on Monday lol. So of course l did like the music as Electronic Dance is my favorite overall genre. However, the scene is weird...... not to bash but lm just not all about doing Molly's and neon everything. l like wearing nice clothes and partying to dance music where people are dressed nice and its classy. Not.... neon everything and dbags bouncing around totally unaware of their surroundings. Just not my scene but l do love the music. l just never believed the music a person prefers should 'define' that person in any way. Also saw Binh perform for her first time ever and then Hai Julie Liz and the last dude, forgot his name also performed and did very well. Hai and his hair is very..... pop star ish lol. They all did a really good job and they def know how perform. The girls had a lot of sass which l love and l liked the tracks and not saying that only because they are my friends. Songs about partying are always fun songs. Bounced out later on and took Vicky back home and was very happy l got to see her. Wished her Happy Birthday again and hit home.              Sunday 2/10 woke up late and bummed it for a few hours. Seriously just playing on facebook and watching History or History 2 and hit Brown's. Chilled w the guys, watched Homeland and smoked hookah lol. had some food and talked bout some bullshit as always. Nothing surprising right?! Hit home and just played Halo 4 Campaign on Legendary first time in a while. Still didnt beat it or COD Black Ops 2 yet and l just needed something different for my brain so it was a good relief. Played for a while and passed out late.  Monday did some shopping done and had house showings w JohnM an old friend from early as 6th grade. Ran around and checked out some homes and it was just good hanging out again. Had Nerd Night w the homies of Scumbag Squad and played Magic and chilled. Nothing too crazy. Just at Matt's. We stopped by Stomping Ground as they have tournaments frequently of different types on different nights. Every Monday is Draft Format. Got dice and a playmat cause l gave into peer pressure and we got some food and went back to chill and play some more. Always a good time w the Scumbag Squad lol.      Tues was straight up nothing but sleep and booking house showings. Sleep sced is totally ruined at this point. Took it easy, bullshitted... yea lol not much of anything. Weds got up early and got food and made Vicky a similar edible arrangements thingy. Afterwards more house showings w JohnM and his fiance Michelle. Had a good time just running around and checking out homes. Always fun starting a new hunt w friends. Left to get Vicky but played some Street Fighter IV at University Pinball as she wasnt home just that early. Smoking a guy's multiple characters hehe. Got Vicky and we had a nice night in. Nothing ridiculous, just food and Breaking Bad lol.    Thurs woke up for Valentines Day, ate breakfast in bed, did bf/gf related things all day and picked up Fung w Allison in the afternoon. Had a chill evening and we went out to get groceries. So we were gonna do seafood but like.... we got a lot of food. So l asked my little sister Allison if her and her bf Fung wanted to do dinner w us. So the 4 of us made this massive dinner. Lobster, shrimp and cocktail sauce, shrimp and broc kabob, mussels, stuffed clams, fruits and choc cake... oh and wine lol. So yea, had fun cooking and dinner was amazing. It was still so much food even adding in my little sister and her bf. It was a really nice evening tho. Also Vicky got me a dope necklace from Armani. Its similar to my other one w a cross and ring around it. l just like it, lm not Christian lol. Some Breaking Bad and napage and took Vicky back home late night. Stayed up late playing video games lol.            Friday was so bummage... well l drove my sister to the train station and then got a little sleep and then had house showings w Brian and Somanette. A lot of Montgomery County again for me. Feels like last yr. So did the house showings and they went smoothly and its always nice seeing Brian and Somanette. l met them through Vee as they are a part of Vee's family through her families big family events. Afterwards tho... went home to nap and was gonna go out for Chyfann's bday and then Rumor after as we(DNA) were throwing an event at Rumor and a lot of friends were going to both the bday and Rumor. Well woke up but was wayyyy too tired to move from the lack of sleep and terrible sleep sced l have in general. My body was trashed and l just went back to bed and continued to sleep. Yea... l missed another Friday and it wasnt because l had a night in w the girlfriend. Woke up Sat at 430am tho cause l went to bed so early on Friday. Had a HUGE day ahead. So got some small things done, worked on side projects and did some Street Fighter IV then at 12 hit the Magic the Gathering Tournament. Except it wasnt Standard Format like it usually is, it was a Modern Format Qualifier.. So yea, l was only using 20% of what l could be so l got destroyed 1-3 against opponents. My car had a popped tire puncture and took it to my Honda Dealer. Lucky for me, Sean was working and did it quickly as he saw me come in. Best part was that they might not have had time for me but he just got to me immediately. lm so0o lucky hehehehe. Followed it up by hitting home and doing some Street Fighter 4 on stream. No time to nap tho and was nervous if l napped, l would just sleep my day away. So later met up w the crew who was madddd late at Cafe Soho. Jason was visiting us as he has business in the area and got flown out. So dinner was dope and Jeff and Diamond came out w us as well. After chicken we pced out to the hookah bar across the street. The hookah was ok but it felt like very thin smoke through these 3 hose hookahs. Drank and chilled and had a good time just being stupid w friends. Talked bout junk and got well tipsy and it was just a nice night out w the crew. Left right before midnight to go to Whisper as l was running an event there. So hit that up and set up Sophia's bday there. Showed up, cut line and just went in lol l love it. Checked in my coat, got a drink and found friends. Jieun Will and Adam made it out and chilled w them throughout the night. Found Sophia and met a ton of her friends and danced w all of them throughout the night and also Doofan and her friend came through and also danced w them for a big part of the night. Danced w some randoms and just bounced around dancing w different group of friends. Danced so much actually... From 1220am-2am l didnt really even leave the dance floor cause l was still on my first beer. After that point, the lack of sleep and all the dancing just got to me and l had to take a seat. More friends were around all over the place and even found Kevin Shin one of my fraternity brothers who l got in wayyy back in Fall 09. Ran around and chilled and socialized and got another Corona. Met friends through friends and ended the night dancing in circles. Showing off.... ahhh lm just still compelled lol. Windmills GG lol tho l cut my hand on glass and scraped my shoulder like a no0b. Pced out a bit after 3am and hit home. Ate food, took a long bath and knocked out at 7am which doesn't make sense cause l shoulda been so tired, to sleep asap.                  l think he will throw Rock l will throw Paper but he prob thinks that so l will throw Rock(to beat the scissors coming) but he knows l can be tricky in thinking that so l will throw Scissors if l go one more layer... lm back to throwing Paper to counter his Rock that would be countering my Scissors. This is foundation in metagame. Metagame is involved in so much just people dont see it as metagame. Anyway... fun playing w them and its just rock paper scissors w different point values but it changes it so much..... also played first to 15 points. Some interesting situations occur when a person has 11 or 12 points. Mostly w 11 points, they want to throw Rock to get a win right there. Or w 12 points, they prob wont throw scissors cause they will need another win after that to win the game so l can deduct they prob wont throw scissors and will throw paper or rock which makes me throw paper.... Anyone saying 'l'll just throw something random constantly' will then just lose to an opponent throwing Paper over and over again cause you'll gain 3 for each win, lose 2 for each loss and if they are truly random, all outcomes will come out evenly say 6 throws of paper, 6 rock, 6 scissors. Ok enough bout this, just play me sometime or against someone and you'll get it. So yea watched Homeland and smoked hookah while eating fries and junk lol. Good times w the guys as always. Hit home and watched a stream of this asian girl from Canada play Cammy and she was REALLY good. Didnt see her lose a match and twice she went up against very high level opponents. lm thinking of learning Cammy Gouken and/or Seth as l want a competitive Secondary. My Zangief isnt that great at all, lm aiight w him tho. My Guile and Sagat are both ok as well but l do not have detailed knowledge on a lot of things as l would if l were to use them for tournaments. Slept soon after.   Its Monday now and l woke up at 8am and been working on a lot as my clients all have a lot of questions about the homes l've been showing them and then Hack's home is actually closing wayyy earlier than l expected. Hoping l can get more accepted offers b4 Feb is up. Vicky also got me a new client which is awesome. Little call w Vicky around 1pm and worked mostly all day w writing this on the side. Got a lot of questions answered and now got Draft Format at a Magic the Gathering Tournament later this evening w Scumbag Squad. Hack SteveC and maybe some others. lm tired as hell from everything but things are really good. Late.

Rob Zheng Paying $5 for each game won in a research behind the psychology of Metagame. The winner is the player who wins 3 games first. Losing results in paying out $3. So beating me 3-0 would result in you winning $15. Beating me 3-2 would result in you winning $9. The reason for payment in a result for winning rather than participation is so players will be highly motivated to win rather than produce results to get paid which would only hurt the research. The game is called Diamond Rock. The game is simply Rock Paper Scissors with two changes. The first change is that winning with each of these 'throws' have different point values therefore creating a Metagame. The second change is there will be a fourth 'throw' called 'Diamond Rock'. The hand symbol for this will simply be Spider-Man fingers - Open hand with middle and ring finger pulled into the palm. The player to attain 21 points first will be the winner of the game. The following is a list of the point value of each throw and what throws it will win and lose to: Rock 3 beats Scissors loses to Paper and Diamond Rock Paper 2 beats Rock and Diamond Rock loses to Scissors Scissors 1 beats Paper loses to Rock and Diamond Rock Diamond Rock 1 beats Rock and Scissors loses to Paper The overall ranking of throws is: Rock being top tier Paper and Diamond Rock being mid tier Scissors being low tier If both players both throw the same throw, no points are given to either player. The Metagame works as the following. Most players will feel secure and solid playing Paper because it beats 2 of the 3 other throws and gets mid range point value. Because of this, Scissors has a higher chance of scoring from the frequent throw of Paper. When a player truly feels Scissors is coming to counter Paper, they will throw Rock to beat the Scissors and score the highest point value as they deserve high points for making the 'read'. The purpose of Diamond Rock is to have another solid throw when a player truly believes the opponent will not be playing Paper but is not sure if they will be playing Rock or Scissors. Because of this, the point value is 1 because it beats two different throws and loses to Paper which has a value of 2 so this throw is balanced against Paper. All players will write down on paper what they will be throwing and why they are throwing it based upon the previous throws and results of the game. Of course, the farther into each game, there is more information to consider when choosing the next throw. Players will then count to 3 and throw their 'throw' on the word 'shoot'. Players have 3 minutes to decide on what they will throw and as much time as needed to write down their reasoning behind their choice of throw before each match. The purpose of this is to study patterns on Metagame and how people react when winning or losing. I will not be posting my predictions of the frequency of throws and the % of win/lose/tie of each throw as anyone could read this and use this against me which would in a way be another Metagame in itself.
