There’s been a lot of changes and a lot of fun and so much happened, its kinda confusing to evaluate how good of a year it’s been. I wouldn’t say its the best year yet which is kinda sad since the goal is always to make the current year better than the last. The best thing of 2018 though is oddly the potential for 2019. There’s a lot of things lm excited for in 2019. Maybe 2018 is that first season that’s really just setting up for the second season. Like West World lol. I wouldn’t say 2018 was terrible at all but lm just hoping next year will be better. It should be.
In other news…. I finally hit Diamond Rank in Street Fighter V. A goal I’ve been reaching for the last 2 years and 9 months. It feels so god damn good. First off, l’ll play anyone and even if they demolish me, I still hit that Play Again for game 2(either of us can end it at the first or second game). I feel like you always gotta play Game 2, even if it means I know lm gonna lose more points. With the rage quitters who unplug their internet right before my win, to the people who wont play me again for a second game because I beat them the first game and to all the double losses I took from better players….. Ranking up is a BITCH. But a friend told me(who l forgot said it) was the best way to rank up even with all the bullshit was ‘why dont you just play better?’. Which is so true. If l just keep winning against everyone - the rage quitters - the one and done’s - the people that are ‘better than me’. If l just keep winning and stop losing, the points only go up. Of course, I didnt just win literally every game but I just focused on simply - playing better.
Seeing how I see the fighting games now compared to my 2009-2015 days… l was so bad. I relied on a few basic and some very powerful dirty tricks. Playing Ed in Street Fighter V really made me learn properly how to approach the game. And so much of what I learn from any game applies to real life. With confidence, with adding layers on the a gameplan, with understanding my emotional habits and simply, w fucking with people lol. It just feels great to mind fuck someone. My tournament results from 2013 till now have always been fine and lm still getting further at Majors than ever but it’s nice to be able to say when someone asks ‘what rank are you?’ l can proudly reply ‘Diamond’. The gap from Diamond - Super Diamond - Ultra Diamond - Master is god damn ridiculous but just like with everything else… the second you’re content/happy with where you are, you dont get any further. So the next goal is the get to Master rank and also to make it to Top 8 of a Major. We’ll see.
I know this goal of mine is shallow but whatever. What’s the point of living if you cant do what you want? Regardless how shallow it may be. I love that I do whatever I want. Which is simply spending time with friends and playing games.

12/5 Weds l was still up late night reading some gaming news and bumming online. Watched Iron-Man 2 during the daytime w Jeremiah and then more COD BO4. Later on headed out for meetings. Met up w Vince Steven and Nic to check out one spot and then later on hit Muta for food and drinks. The old school Music Town spot. Food wasnt bad and had a really good dinner w the guys. Later on hit back to Steven’s to talk and smoke hookah.
Hit home and played COD all night… till 7am….
Thursday got up late and got beer and a hoagie. Hit house showings w James and his family for a lil and then hit Nicah’s for pregame. Ton of friends made it through as always. Jennica came out for her birthday so it was nice seeing her out again w us. Hit Noto and yooo Nicky Romero was dope. I like his music in general but he played really well. Friends got tables and had fun dancing w friends all night.
Hit home and we watched the 3rd Maze Runner. Mehhhhh. The first one was so good and then it just got assy. Slept at 6am.
Friday got up around lunch time and did work for a lil. Hit A1 Japanese Steak House w Jeremiah and stuffed face w hibachi. Got so much food since lunch is so cheap. Hit home to do more work and started playing Street Fighter 5 again and was doing reallly good. Esp for not playing in forever. Played Smash Bros for a while w pizza and hookah all night later on w friends that came through. It just came out so we had a great time sucking ass hahaha.

Sat got up early and did work for a while. Later on got on COD BO4 and yooo StevenZ got the game!! Day 1. WE GOT HIM 2 wins w Vince and MarkusT(Luminar). One clean good win because Luminar and Steven listen well and another cheese win as l had to fight up to 5 people. 3 people upstairs of ‘Amazon HQ’ w barr’ed up, mesh mines and razor wire. FUCK THAT NOISE I GOT CONSUMER AND OUTLANDER AND SOME TRAUMA KITS BITCH!!!!!!111 Did the cheese where l dont fight. I just pop the outlander and consumer. Take less circle damage which is HUGE then consumer so l can use the trauma kit even later closer to death then back up to 200 health, did it again and then after l had only med kits, waited till l was bout to hit 100 life then back up to 150 over and over and outlived the last 3 opponents waiting for me. Its so bullshit and god damn amazing!! The guys loved watching the bullshit.

So then afterwards, hit Katsu’s for his gaming day thing at his place. Played this new game Splendor thats pretty popular which is pretty much an investment game. Its kinda like everyone playing a Green Ramp deck in Magic the Gathering. Trying to make investments for the long term or short term race people who is going for long term end game. Had mad fun and then hit up Min’s for pregame.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHEMMAY!!!! Even though it was her birthday the following week, l couldnt go due to NEC so l made it this night instead, got a cake and had friends come out for her to celebrate. Had a really fun pregame and dude… for $1 more… 24 12oz Miller Lite Cans become 24 16oz Miller Lite Cans. What an upgrade!!! All bout them ratios but you dont need to be a match genius from $22-$23 is totally worth the upgrade. Had a great pregame and then Johnnie Walker Lounge. Shemmay got a table and had fun dancing w friends. So many friends made it through and just had a really good time w everyone. Ended the night dropping friends off and watching Netflix while stuffing face.
Sunday got up early for a team brunch. Stuffed face and thank you so much for the gifts!! Got a fondue kit that lm hype to play w. The food was really good at the Yardley Inn and it was just in general it was nice to be w the team again. Business has been slow due to the winter so l havent been around or in contact w everyone as much so its good they set that up. Im very thankful for them.
Afterwards, hit home and did work for a while and then played some COD BO4 w the guys. Later had a small FGC night cause whatever… AlexL got this game l was looking at for a while called Dice Thrones. Its kinda like Magic the Gathering on how turns work. You roll and reroll up to 3 times whatever you want going for different dice combinations going for different attacks. You have cards which you can spend points on to manipulate dice or reroll and other stuff and then there is a roll defense. You try to kill the other person. Pretty straight forward. Played Paladin all night just trying to really understand one at a time.

Ended the night playing Street Fighter V and yoooo Ultra Platinum!! Not sure how not playing practically for 2 months makes me better but it REALLY DID!!!! Went from Borderline Platinum-Super Platinum all the way up to Ultra Platinum really fast in 2 days.
12/10 Monday got up and hit my listing appointment with Mary. Went really smooth and since we sold Ryan’s investment property for the most that neighborhood has ever seen, now others would like us to do the same. Trend setter. Afterwards, got groceries with the gift card the team also got me from Sundays brunch and got mad food.
Hit home to do mad work and then later on headed out to get Han Dynasty w Jenna to catch up on everything. Had a good dinner and talked about a lot of stuff and then we hit Min’s to hookah and talk bout her potentially moving in Min’s new home coming up. It makes a lot of sense. Afterwards, dropped her off and hit home to chill for a lil before knocking out.
Tuesday got up early and did work for a while. Later met up w Min Andy and Erica to relook at Min’s home and lm really excited for this house because the location is the highest rental location of all of Brewerytown and this home is bigger than those homes. Also the church across the street constantly has a ton of parking spots open infront and the side of the church.
Afterwards, hit home and did really well in Street Fighter V again and then hit a meeting at Steven’s again. Had a really productive meeting and then hit back home for FGC night where
we played mad Smash Bros. Ended the night watching Mission Impossible 5 lol.
Weds worked in the morning in the morning and then did some Street Fighter V and COD BO4. I feel bad l havent been playing much Hitman 2 but l only NEED to do the Elusive Targets when they appear for now. Im playing that game slowly. Really enjoying all the stuff it has.
Later on got Jeremiah David then Angie then Min and we hit up Rose Bar. Shemmay’s new bar!!! Congrats Shemmay!!! They’ve been working on it for so long, its nice to see it finally open. Got drinks and Shemmay’s mother hooked it up w the food!! Thanks Mom Shemmay!! Met some new people and this pic of Shemmay…. You’ll see it below hahaha. Had a lot of fun and won an aluminum cup that l was meh about(but now l use it everyday to keep drinks cold/hot). It reallllly keeps my drinks ice cold when theres ice in there. Had a lot of fun there and bounced out at 130am. We swung by Johnnie to visit friends for a lil and smoke some hookah and say whats up to people. Afterwards, dropped everyone off and we started to watch The Nun which sadly wasnt that good. I love that series too but oh well.
Thursday just worked all evening and got a lot done. Peaceful at my desk. Hit COD BO4 w the guys at night and we got 4 wins wo0t wo0t!!!! Something was kicking in because the 4 wins were pretty quick from one another. Played some Street Fighter V ranking up close to Diamond Rank which l’ll be SO HAPPY about. Ended the night w stir fry and Westworld.
Friday packed my bags and made stir fry to go and hit NEC and got the room. Had an awesome time just bumming and playing games w everyone. Jeremiah Titus and ChrisH stayed in my room and we had a small party room all night. Got a good amount of practice in and felt really good and didnt want to burn myself out mentally before a tournament. Lit the hookah, had some drinks, had some stir fry and just simply had a really good time.
Sat was tournament time. Got Andy his room and Nicki came in looking like Storm!! Hit downstairs to watch some matches and see Jeremiah play in BBTag which he got pretty far in. Found Geobraun and Pim and we had a good Ed talk as they both play Ed. Ed players are rare so its cool to have good friends l can relate to about him.
Later on it was tournament time. I won my first match and lost my second to Deanthrax, a M.Bison player. From Loser’s Bracket, l beat the next two opponents putting me in Loser’s Finals. Deanthrax lost to BlackGazebo(who came in 4th of the whole tournament) and l had to face Deanthrax again who got me again. SOOO CLOSE to making it to Top16 but sadly not today. ChrisH, Eric and PhatBoi all lost in the same spot as me as we all came in 17th place tied together. We’re close guyssss…
So afterwards, party time. Just had a bunch of friends over to play games, drink, smoke and eat stir fry. Stuffed face and had a good time playing games w friends, making new ones and catching up with old ones. Talks got wild later on and l was dying from all the stories going on. Hung out all night and yooo…. Of course the late night conversations lead to one of the same few topics. ANY SLEEP OVER OR LATE NIGHT HANG OUT ALWAYS ENDS with a talk about either - Politics- Religion - Aliens - Girls lol. Dude since the dawn of time, if you hang out with your friends and it hits 5am… youre talking bout one of those things. Talked bout girls and Aliens and later on about immortality and if you’d hate it or not. I’d take it. So it hit 6am something and we talked about how great Its Always Sunny is and then when the sun was bout to come out we decided to knock out lol.
Sunday got up and hit towards home. Said bye to a ton of friends and hit up Hmart first. Got mad food and then got home to set up to watch Capcom Cup w the guys. Had fun watching Itabashi Zangief go through a tear. Its so fun watching Abigail. He came in 2nd sadly but got pretty damn close on resetting the bracket against the guy who put him in Losers bracket. Mad dumplings and hookah and played games and it was just another chill night. We saw there was a Street Fighter V update and then found the new character Kage before the announcement lol. Def cool to have Evil Ryu back and l do like his big damage and fast walk speed. But yoooo they took away his forward mk which was his hopkick which is something I LOVE about using Ed but lm sad they took it away from him. The utility of a hopkick is so interesting. Low crushing(hopping over low attacks and hitting back) and that you’re airbourne so you cant be thrown which is good for blowing up people trying to tech throw or use a throw invincible. We’ll see. I do like playing him but my execution isnt the best. But l do love his massive damage. They make a mistake or you make a good read and its 1/3rd life gone.
We played around w him for a while and just had a nice chill Sunday night.
12/17 Monday hit Min’s for checking out the home to request any changes we needed before settlement. Had a good day there and then afterwards met up w Alexandra for pizza which we mostly talked bout real estate. Afterwards, hit Vince’s for poker. Havent played in forever but Zack and Marisa are back and visiting so l went anyway to hang w them and then lost $40 gahhhh l suck. Hung out all night and hit home late to watch West World and eat dumplings w Jeremiah.
Tuesday morning got Min and we hit closing. Congrats Min!!!!!!11 Very happy for him and the location is amazing. Afterwards, hit home do a ton of work but sadly real estate has been slow w the holidays. Response times are just slow because people are traveling and christmas shopping and stuff.
Played some COD BO4 and then had friends over for Dumpling Sessions playing games all night. Got a Splendor win and played some Kage w Titus and Chris. Def like Kage Vtrigger1 more than 2 so far, even though Vtrigger2 has my Instant Hell Murder/Raging Demon. The move that made me focus on Akuma as my main in Street Fighter 4. Watched some Mission Impossible 4 and ended the night watching Kage videos.
Weds hit Center City for a productive meeting along w Steven. Right after, we hit back to Steven’s for a second meeting. Def a long day and the food def helped drained me. Food coma is so real. After the second meeting was over, we stayed and talked more about aliens and other random stuff.
Hit home to do work and played Street Fighter V getting closer to Diamond rank. Ended the night watching West World and eating.
Thurs got up late and did work all evening. Hopped on COD BO4 at night and it was kinda buggy w picking up loot. Brown came through later to eat and watch Patriot Act and bummed for a while.
Later on, got Zack Marisa and Angie and we hit up a small pregame at Min’s old place as he’s still moving out. Had a fun pregame and then Noto for Dash Berlin though its only one of the members being the main face of Dash Berlin. Got there, found more friends and yoooo…
It was a crazy night. Danced nearly all night w only breaks to chill and take pictures. I ended up drinking a lot and got pretty crazy. Music was on point and just had fun being w everyone. Partied till closing and afterwards, dropped off everyone only to go back to Vince’s and Elwyn forced a drink on me which got me mad sick. Thanks…. Jeremiah drove us home from there.
Friday got up late and did work for a lil before meeting up w Alexandra to eat at a spot in Southampton. Had Arancini for the first time which l really liked a lot and korean tacos. They really filled up the plate and its def a place l’d get back to again. Had a good dinner and then hit Vince’s to have a chill night. Played a ton of different drinking games. I suck at Liar’s Dice. Played some Mafia and yoooo l missed playing Mafia so much. Played Rage Cage/Slap Cup. More and more friends came later and it turned into a lil party. I’ll take it lol. Stayed till 4am playing games and barely drank cause Thursday l died.
Sat got up and got beer and dropped off a case and hookah at Gah’s place and hit Min’s. Min’s sister and Andy came through to help move and we were really productive. Shoved stuff in the Uhaul and cars and moved stuff over. Thank you for the food and beers Min!! Last 30 minutes the ASSEMBLY LINE!!! Shit got done so fast. My left arm went numb. I need to work out for real.
Next up w hit Gah’s pregame which was pretty damn huge. Played beer pong and me and Vince won 6 games before losing. Met a lot of new people, smoked hookah and just had a good time doing shots w some new friends.
We then hit up Johnnie Walker Lounge for Gah’s birthday and Fanny’s birthday. Both tables were next to each other which was good for me to hang out w everyone. Danced ALLLLL night and got gross level sweaty. Danced w friends on furniture the majority of the time and GOD I LOVE DANCING ON FURNITURE!!! It’s as rebellious as l can get now. Im so wild.
Gah had an after party where we just ate food and smoked hookah. Lost $5 w ChrisY to David and Elwyn in beer pong. Ughhhhh… Min got Halal guys and RichS got mad food from Ken’s seafood and stuffed face so hard. Left the after party at 4am to eat, do work and knock out.
Sunday got up and had friends over for board games. Its crazy how good some board games are becoming. Vince Thuy Zack and Marissa came to learn Splendor as well. Later on… played some Street Fighter V and yooooo DIAMOND RANK BITCHESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 So oddly enough, it was almost one year ago l hit Platinum rank. Was stuck there forever and only till the last 3-4 months, l climbed to Super Platinum. Got stuck, trained like crazy for Redbull Conquest, played COD BO4 nonstop for 2 months, came back to the game and easily climbed to Ultra Platinum and then Diamond. Not sure how but whatever, l’ll take it.
Later on worked on my punish guides going over the balance changes and then got stuck watching a ton of shit on youtube. Wiki or youtube. Once you start learning bout something, the tabs start opening and you just dont stop.
12/24 Monday got up late and did work in the afternoon. Not a lot to do cause everyone is MIA for the holidays. Super slow for real estate. Got on COD BO4 w DavidH VinceZ and MarcusT and we got a win. Sadly only one but l’ll take it. Ended the night watching Westworld w Jeremiah all night, folding socks and smoking hookah and eating a lil all the way till midday Tuesday.
Tuesday l finally went to bed around lunch time and got up in the evening. Oh yea Merry Christmas lol…. Hit Vee’s parent’s place and had a good time eating hot pot and hanging w Vee’s family. Vee’s family has always been an extended family to me. The family got bigger w all these kids running around now. Ended up playing w the kids fighting them in the basement till l was soaking in sweat. I miss my job at the elementary school and it was really fun playing w the kids. Bummed there till late and hit home afterwards to play COD BO4 w Goofball Morris and Vince. Goofball was just fight happy and delusion from lack of sleep. I hated him a little. We got no wins.

Weds hit my office to drop off paperwork and then yayyy more COD BO4 w Jeremiah Goof and Vince. Later on met up w Vee Dan Adam Domkey and Rosie. Got drinks and Standard Tap and just caught up on everything but mostly talked bout girls lol. We also got drinks at another spot close by and just had a good time taking it easy w them.
Afterwards, hit Dean’s birthday at Ramen Bar in the drexel location and yoooo the foodddd. Stuffed face, sipped on beer cause lm still scarred from the Dash Berlin night, smoked hookah and just socialized all night. Def a lot of fun and it was our typical overall group of party friends in Chinatown. Def a really fun time and hit home late and got home to bullshit till 8am lol.
Thursday got up late and did a lil bit of work. Got on COD w Vince MattBeezer and Marcus and we got a win and got a few 2nd places. 2nd places are the worst but you really need your full team at the end of the game. VAST MAJORITY of my quad wins, we did the final fight w a full team. It just matters. Afterwards, did work for a while late night while watching Street Fighter related videos on the side.
Christmas 2008 w Hack Domkey and Vee. We havent changed much in the past 10 years. Esp Hack being a chode.
