Outside of actually cards and money gambling, my self control is pretty bad. Its just there was SOOO MUCH l wanted when l was younger that l'd do anything for. As l got older and got what l wanted, l would never be satisfied and would want more. The 15 yr old me would be sooo happy with everything l have right now but theres more l want. Its also weird how getting what you want doesn't always turn out to be what you want or you end up wanting more. Curiosity is also a killer. l HATE wondering 'what if'. In the end.... l got a lot to think about for my future.

Monday was peaceful. Just watching the Travel Channel on food all day. Its crazy how much they talk about Food on the travel channel and how many food focused shows they have on the Travel channel and not the Food Network. But then again, History Channel has Ancient Aliens and Ice Road Truckers lol.
Working on changes for the event theme and banner for our 18+ event coming up which lm now working w some old and some new people in their organizations from Philly. Hitting up agents and lenders in the evening and just did laundry and chilled. Kept it really simple as l needed a bit of calm time. The weekends just exhaust me and Monday's are seriously my Sundays where l just take it easy. Slept at a normal time too.
Tues working w new clients and later on got a ton of groceries. l always buy so much food when lm hungry shopping. l really need to stop that. Started streaming later on at night for a while and TONS of friends were also streaming. Tues seems like a popular night as NOTHING happens on a Tuesday lol. Just a lot of Ultra Street Fighter 4 and had fun knocking out tons of games. Def another simple day.
Weds started off my day harassing other agents and people getting shit done. It drives me crazy when people dont answer my calls/texts/emails and a day or two goes by w no response. ESIOHGOSIHGoi anyway... hit up Breslin's later on and the guys came through to play Magic the Gathering. Lit the hookah and Alex, ScottF, RichC and SteveC came through. Some of the guys played Modern format for a bit as we smoked and just had a nice evening out back of Breslin's.
Later on when everyone was together, we opened the 18 packs l got from Magic Origins Pre-release when l split w Top 4 for 1st place and got 21 packs. Been saving them for a while to get everyone together now that Breslin is feeling better. Did a fun draft and ended up beating everyone but Breslin lol. We drafted the same colors and l yolo went for one tactic based off one card which was really dumb. Me and Rich had fun seeing who could pull off their win conditions first. Def glad to have everyone together again and hoping to get everyone together more often for Modern, Commander, drafts or whatever.
Hit home and played Ultra Street Fighter 4 w Reza on her stream for a while. Everytime she throws EX Divekick and it hits and she confirms into cr.mk into H spiral drill..... lm sooo fucking happy lol. Getting damage in and shes learning something. Learning about finishing combos and about spacing her EX divekicks and WHEN to do them. In general, l've always liked teaching people in anything. Its cool to work on someones progress like a side project.
Afterwards, made burgers and did some reading on Magic the Gathering's new set Battle for Zendikar. For ONCE.... lm reading up on a set before pre-release and trying to prepare. Could see Ally's would be big and Eldrazi's would be big.
Thurs took care of work during the evening and later on Rita Josh Brown Jenny and Rob joined for hookah and chilling out back. Very simple evening and just bummed it. Nothing new. More Ultra Street Fighter 4 w Reza in her stream and played for a while w her and other viewers. Spent the rest of the night studying Magic cards again lol. Very simple Thurs.
Friday had work all day and was actually somewhat stressed lol. Feels like actual work. Later on more friends came over again to smok hookah and chill. Will Scott Jenny Brown Adam and Rita all made it through and had a good night drinking and smoking, talking bout vommit and poop stories as usual. We're so filthy but the crazy stories are the stories worth telling ya know? 11pm me and Rob head out to Stomping Grounds for the Pre-release event for Magic the Gathering's new set.
Got there and started drafting and decided to go aggro even tho its a slower set. Hoping people would bank on the mentality 'well if its a slower set, l can go ramp Eldrazi and not worry bout aggro cause no one will do it. The metagame begins!! Everyone was doing Eldrazi so l put some anti Eldrazi cards in along w having 1 anti Eldarzi card that was huge. My 5th opponent had a good deck but l got so lucky. Drawing my BIG anti Eldarzi card, an artifact that exiles all creatures power 5 and up until the artifact is removed. He dropped the 10 mana, 10/10 which creates another 10/10.. dropped the artifact and l thought he was going to stab me. He plays another fat ass.... l drop exile creature power 4 or greater.. he drops a 3rd big guy, l drop the same card again... he lost and was sooo pissed.
So did well but got royally mana fucked on my final match to make it into Top 8. Had 22 cards, 18 lands.... drew 3 cards and then 13 lands. 13 fucking lands in a row. Statistically that should just not happen but it did and l got fucked. Not the kinda way l wanna go out. Made 10th place and got 7 packs but l coulda got 14 packs if l woulda won my last game making Top 8 split. Ughhhh....
Sat its 630am when we left Stomping Grounds, hit back, snacked and laid down for an hour but didnt sleep. Got up at 9am and hit Oxford Valley where me and Rob met up w AlexL for the next tournament. 79 players. Oxford always gets 75+ people on Sat's tournament. So did Ally's again... red and white like always. l do love Red and White but in general....the way they are built in Magic the Gathering, they are focused on cheap faast creatures who hit quicker, hit first and build off each other. You pretty much play 'The Beatdown' which is an article about Magic the Gathering but applies to a lot of gaming.
Pretty much... whoever is The Beatdown is who has attacked and hurt the opponent first and has a healthy life lead. With that life lead, you use that to your advantage... your opponent now must slow you down before you finish them off. They play 'The Control'. In Magic, they must stablize the board. They drop bigger creatures but cant attack since they are needed for defense. After that, they slowly take the lead away. Within Street Fighter, whoever is winning by a fair amount is the Beatdown and now... l dont need to move forward to attack my opponent. My opponent must attack me and equal or beat me before time runs out. l always always always prefer to be the Beatdown in gaming. Ended up winning 7-0 and winning against each opponent 2-0 except against Mike Baro going 2-1. So made it into Top 8 and won my next game going 8-0. Lost to Mike Baro game 3 and ended 8-1 taking 3rd place. Got 18 packs so enough for another draft at Breslin's for me and the guys to get together. Good games Baro. You got me in the end when it mattered the most. But one day.... atleast l got him one during the swiss lol. He did play me pretty bad w this one card tho.
Afterwards, friends came through and l was awake for about 30 hours being up since 2pm on Friday. Lit the hookah, had drinks, played beer pong w Angela going 4-0 and it was a small party due to the fact the Pope being in Philly made roads blocked off rough for Philly friends to come. Had a good time just talking bout filth again and drinking and kinda got pretty drunk cause l barely ate Friday and Sat and plus a few shots and few drinks, it just hit me. Some Mortal Kombat X in the living room, beer pong and drinks in the kitchen and hookah outside tho l had to take the hookah in at midnight. Passed out before the party was over cause everytime l closed my eyes, l fell asleep lol.
Sunday got up at 7pm after a good 15 hours of sleep. Hit Rita's to smoke and eat pizza w Rita Chris Rob and their neighbor Keith. Chilled and watched the game and took it easy. Hit home late night and did some reading on Magic the Gathering. l wont be getting back into Standard format but w the Eldrazi's and Ally's, it does look fun this coming yr. Anytime you drop a bomb in Magic the Gathering, it feels great.
Caught up on all my gaming news and watched Ancient Aliens lol. Awesome night right? Ended it w watching Heroes Reborn which is pretty good.
Monday took care of work for my potential closing on Thurs and ariogharoighaoi protocols can be so lame. Spent a good amount of time... not bitching out but being pretty stern to some people and l never ever get like that but l had to. Headed out to Philly to visit Mike and Sam at their place. Sad it was my last time being there. So many good memories there. Smoked hookah and just talked bout tons of stuff and lm really excited for them to get out there and start their new chapter. At the same time, lm def sad and gonna miss them being around w us. Got good personal time in with them though and lm sure second lm talking to them after they moved, l wont be so sad anymore. In the past 2 yrs, a lot of friends have moved for work and its sad but theres nothing l can do about it. Then again, Facebook and gaming w friends that moved or l havent seen in years makes it not so bad at all. Ended my hang out by hitting up Trader Joes and got some snacks Mike suggested this Sweet Sricha Uncured Bacon Jerky which is pretty good but so hot. Its not the end of the world as l still get to see them Friday before they leave on Sat.
Hit home and watched the 2nd episode of Heroes Reborn and ended up playing a ton of Rainbow Six Siege. Ended the night watching Shark Tank and eating before knocking out.
Tues waking up to aoeirghoiahrgaihrgoa l just wanna kill some people. l think lm just extra annoyed because my work is pretty chill for 95% of the time. There are literally months before things sometimes go wrong and stressful so when things arent perfect, lm pissed. Did some cleaning and snacked. WarrenC came through and it was the first time getting to hang out w him in yrs since high school days.
Rob Joss and Ann came through as well and it was my first time also seeing Ann since Vee's engagement party in 2011. Crazy how friends are moving and old friends are coming around. In the end, all friends are still friends regardless where you end up living. So caught up w everyone and smoked hookah and had drinks out back. Def really good catching up big time on the past decade with Warren. Will hopefully get to chill with him again one more time before he hits back to Hong Kong. He looks exactly the same as 10 yrs ago its insane. Its crazy how things really dont change too much even a decade later. Even when me and Brown went to visit Chris Boyd and Carly.... Chris is the exact same guy as he was in 10th grade.
l really do like that meeting up w old friends is pretty much picking up where we left off. Plus..... l still talk w everyone on Facebook anyway that its honestly really hard to REALLY miss anyone anymore lol.
Afterwards, just watching Animal Planet - North America as all these documentaries are dope as l play Rainbow Six Siege lol.
