Time flies faster and faster the older l get. Whatever happens, having these memories of a summer this good will always be nice.
Tues Aug 13th started off the day w some work, not a lot as my clients have been busy. Mid-late summer and mid winter this always happens. People dont wanna see homes cause they are at the beach(one client left to Florida for a little, another to AC NJ). Mid winter because its too cold and traffic cause of snow and some realtors just take winter off. Worked on Injustice for 3 hrs and then on Street Fighter 4 w Eric and Blackheart. Its crazy how b4 switching back and forth between Street Fighter 4 and Marvel vs Capcom 3 was so much and confusing and now.... playing multiple games and switching quickly is nothing. Its one skill that lm glad l got over the last 2 yrs. Its something any pro player of course needs to have. Tokido is able to do extremely well w multiple games at a single tournament.
Weds worked on gaming and actual work all back and forth during the day. W another accepted offer comes a lot of paperwork. Just working on Injustice and Street Fighter 4. Nothing too crazy. Just kept the day very anti social. l need my down time from people lol cause l know l'll be w lots of friends soon.
So Later on got Adam and we hit up Yakitori Boy for Sam's Birthday. Had a really good time w the whole ASA Squadron and got a lot of drinks and sung karoake and played Lying Dice. Had a really good time and it was cool to also party w Blair for the first time as she takes care of guestlists at Whisper. Ordering beers and saki and mix drinks and yea.... kinda got really drunk. Had to take it easy for a bit b4 heading home. Def had a good time seeing everyone and really happy that everyone came out for Sam's birthday. She's a really good girl and extremely fun and deserved a great birthday like that. We ran around and got bubble tea afterwards and said late to everyone. Def a really good night out.
Thurs started my day off w gaming for a while. Took care of work in the office and Jenna swung by to chill in the afternoon. We got some food and watched Dexter at my place as l was thinking of shows she'd really like since she's into psychology and mystery. Made sense right lol. But yea, that was chill and then l ended the night w more gaming haha. l know... my life is so unpreditiable.
Fri l woke up packing my stuff and hitting the hotel for Summer Jam 7 Fighting Game Competition. Got to the hotel room and set up the 2nd tv and yoooo our room was soo nice!! The fact we had a nice sized living room and a seperate bedroom was so sweet. So Friday was the chill night as Shawn Justin and Bryan came through to chill and game. We drank and gamed and had a really fun night just nerding out. We gamed all night and stayed up pretty late lol. Rio came through too to play a bit, the guy l lost to at Otakon in Street Fighter 4 in Quarter finals. Had a chill night and played and knocked out late night.
Sat woke up at 440am cause EricS showed up late from the club lol. So back to sleep for a bit then we started the tournament. So.... my luck on just who l had to face off from the start was a bit ridiculous. l have this terrible luck of facing extremely high level known players in my 1st or 2nd game..... well this tournament gave me the 1st worst luck yet.
3v3 Street Fighter 4 started and we are up against EMP Dieminion, K-Brad and Santrax....... OIGHOISGHIOWRHGIOWRHGIO so l went first and lost to Santhrax along w Eric and Dio. It was rough. Sadly it stuck w me and l just didnt play well in my next game either. Then 3v3 Injustice w Justin and Shawn. Justin did very well almost taking out the whole team himself. EMP won the 3v3 Street Fighter 4 and a team w some guy of Reo won the 3v3 of Injustice who he took out even the Evo Injustice Champion.
Well guess what. 1v1 Street Fighter Zang vs Santhrax.... AGAIN even tho there are over 160 people entered in Street Fighter 4. l had to face off against him AGAIN first game of ALLLLL the people there. The odds are of course UNDER 1% but it happened. So lost to Santhrax again and then well.... wow..... 1v1 l have to face off against Reo of all people who just won the 3v3 Injustice. So l lost to Reo's Martian Manhunter. The character was so new at that point, l didnt have a lot of match up experience against him. But either way, l was gonna get blown up. Lost in Injustice and in Street Fighter 4 l took out the next 2 opponents in 1v1 and then eventually lost to a Fei Long. Wasn't upset about my performance just sucked that l had to start off each section of the tournament l was in w such difficult matches. Reo also ended up winning 1v1 Injustice. oh well... theres plenty more tournaments and a lot of people told me they were jealous of the people l got to face because its a good test to see where you stand by playing against the best. Thats true too which l should be thankful for. Instead of focusing on trying to WIN for now l should only be focusing on trying to IMPROVE. W that, the winnings will come.
Anyway, hit up some friends l met from previous tournaments and became cool w a few others and set up the hookah, got drinks and set up our living room and had friends come through to game, drink and smoke. Lee Chung came through and brought through Dieminion(who ended up winning 1v1 Street Fighter 4) and CityofBrass and other high level players who made it to the Top 16. It was cool learning so much from them and l got to play Dieminion a ton. His Guile pressure is so ridiculous.
Also played CityofBrass a bunch of times along w the Zangief player that was in Top 16. Learned A LOT A LOT on the Akuma Zangief match up how not to be scared and chip away but hit big and then back off. It makes a big difference on what l learned and l learned a lot of what l thought was a sure thing could be unsafe. Example - throwing a slow fireball and walking behind it... if Zangief jumps over it and towards me, sticking out a Standing HP would have him colide into it for a 100% 110 Damage. Nahhh this guy would knee drop his forward jump so he'd be slim enough JUST to avoid my Standing HP and then Spinning Pile Drive my asshole. l was shocked that something that worked on SO MANY Zangief's is something he knew how to avoid.
Crazy how much l think l know about the game.... theres STILL learning. l think thats what keeps me into it. Had a really fun night gaming, talking, smoking, drinking and LEARNING. l def became a better player from going. Its just exciting to work on something against other people. Beating other people... competition... its just such an exciting drive. l dont get people who live for things that anyone can just do. 'Going to restaurants' IS NOT A HOBBY or a thing. It's getting food. WE ALL DO IT. So many people in the world are just so lame it pisses me off. Anyway... just had a great time and TIME FLEW LIKE CRAZY. l dont know how 9 hours felt like 3 hours but it did. Just had so much fun w everyone talking about the game, our past of how we got into it and playing and yea..... DEF a really great time, traded numbers and very happy l went through. Just chilling w the guys of Midnight Fights and having my squadron of Justin Shawn Bryan and Eric was really nice and lm glad they came through.
Sunday woke up tired as balls and chilled watching matches and getting food w the guys. Dieminion ended up winning the 1v1 so l was happy as l would feel bad if he didnt perform well from feeding him drinks and hookah all night lol. Caught up w friends all around the event and had a good day in general. Said late to the guys and it was fun having some of the squad of Midnight Fights together. Def a good time w them.
Left and got EmilyJ and got some Soho and hit my place to chill. Brown Steve and Adam all came through to chill and smoke hookah, eat food and have drinks. Got a case of Mike's Hard Lemonade. Love it. Yea its sugary but its still so good haha. So had a fun time w the squad eating, smoking and drinking. l sound like a great guy eh? Nothing too crazy, chill night def.
Monday hit up Gamestop and got Batman Arkham City but turns out l beat that 2 yrs ago. l thought l only beat Arkham Asylum lol. The new one Arkham Origins comes out soon. So yea, wasted $20. Always fun. Didnt really do much honestly but did some work and played video games. Monday was kinda beat. But l needed my anti social time.
Tues hit my office yayyyy feeling responsible lol. Did some work and kinda just played Payday 2. Like all day. That was really it. That game got me hooked like crazy. Its a mix between left4dead, army of two(but 4 players) and Hitman lol. Its mad dope tho. Just trying to perfectly stealth heists is the best tho. Its just rough cause MULTIPLE people have to do things perfectly timed together. And theres always a jackass.
Weds got Adam and we hit up SIPs. Its a big Center City Philly all bars happy hour 5-7 on drinks and food and people are out everywhere and so met up w JackK and Mally at the Public House for drinks and food first. JessH Cory Chloe and KarenM came through next to meet up w us. Domkey and Amie came through as well and did my introductions to everyone. Had a nice squadron together. Nothing nutty, just drinking, eating and socializing. Good to be out tho and get fresh air. Gaming usually does that to me. Sameer and his squad came up and met up and we all hit up Sampan for food. Fucking fine dining. Got the smallest meal I've ever seen for $11. It was 4 bites of meat. l was FURIOUSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!1111111 Seriously l hate being hungry after waiting for food, eating and then just sitting there hungry still after all that time.
Had a very good time being w everyone as l havent gotten to see Sameer, Cory, Jess, Karen, Chloe and Domkey in a while. Fun just running around w everyone and from there we split up. Next stop meet up w Domkey Amie and Adam at Morgan's Pier just for more drinks. Got a big ass bottle and we could barely finish it. From all the drinks through the night, l actually got pretty drunk. Finished the actual night at Domkey's along w Amie and smoked hookah and chilled till late night just talking bout tons of shit. Amie is a pretty cool girl and l think it was the 'l read all of the Lord of the Rings' when l appologized for all the nerd shit l was talking bout as she wasnt saying much at that point at Morgan's Pier haha. Got my hookah fix and it was good chilling at Domkey's again and also getting to know Amie.
Thurs started off the morning by rushing and driving my sister to the train station and hitting the office for work during the day. Didnt have much time to myself. Rushed to Adam's and me Adam and Brown hit up the shore. Got a ton of seafood and had a good time stuffing face w oysters and clams. It was a chill night, playing beer pong, smoking hookah and just chilling in general. Ended my night watching Street Fighter 4 videos of Tokido and Infiltration using Akuma.
Friday the Alpha Sigma Rho girls came through and met Jenna's sorority sisters. We were gonna hit the beach but it was kinda cold so we decided to go crabbing lol. So we got a cage and got stuff for it and it was pretty fun. We had 2 cages, caught some small crabs, the girls found a spot where we found more little crabs, clams and hermit crabs and yea..... it was different and fun. Funny watching the crabbing in general. None were big enough however that we were allowed to take home. Looking at the charts, we were at low tide... the peak of low tide when it was the absolute worst to go crabbing. 5am is the peak. So we hit back and had a bbq and stuffed face. It was a really good fancy bbq thinking bout it. Crab legs, steak, mac n cheese, mashpotatoes. Def a good time. Baro came through and met his friend Cruz and also Kyle, Mike, Jieun, Bryant and ChrisJ all came through. Had a chill night, drinking, smoking hookah and the ehookahs lol and playing beer pong and yea... it was a big bro night but it was pretty dope just being away and having a good time. We ended the night taking beer pong very serious, random teams and shots for losers for a while. There was some late night stealing too hahahahah the guys stealing kid playhouses and shit. We planned to return it tho dont worry.
Sat we hit up the beach, threw around the football and tanned a little. It was freezing cold to go in tho as always. lm a big baby. Had a fun midday at the beach and we hit back as tons of people were on their way over. So we started drinking early again. God damn. Through the whole day, l had to get my energy back up over and over again as it was getting crazy how early it was and exhausting it was to party all day and night. So in general, tons of friends made it over and just started drinking, smoking and eating. Story of my life lol.
Tons of friends came through and had 31 people total at the house just running around, drinking, playing drinking games all over and chilling by the hookah. People went stealing again and we started going stamp crazy w the wawa paid stamp lol. Lots of beer pong and jeez people were going so so serious about it haha. Kings just got retarded but its always a great drinking game and then body shots started happening off Dora. Doing ice shot glass shots if you lost in beer pong and no one got shut out or you had to sit under the table or the playhouse haha.
A ton of us hit the beach at 1am and we ran around, ran in and it was freezing ass cold and just acted like retards. Everyone jumping into the shower to wash off and continue the party. After eating and feeling better through drinking gatorade l got drunk again cause Yenn made us play a drinking card game called Drunk Driver but instead of drinking my beer, it was a swig of vodka. That game was terrible lol and l felt like shit immedietly lol. Sophia and her group of friends were in AC and stopped by and it was good chilling w her again too. Met her friends and they were nice people. Late night, the guys returned the kids toys and stayed up late chilling w people till around 530am.
Sunday morning we cleaned the house and chilled. Sat in the sun, smoked hookah and drank soda to feel better. Just a big chillage in the morning tho l didnt even really sleep much due to Yenn waking me up randomly just saying 'Yo Rob', people snoring, people battle rapping in the kitchen lol.... it was a long night. We just hit home and l kinda bummed it hardcore. Ended up eating, watching some History Channel and junk and ended up passing out at 7pm lol. Yeaaaaa aftermath is rough.
Mon woke up at 2am and spent the night uploading and tagging everything on facebook and playing mass amounts of payday 2. Ended up napping again at 11am and waking up and taking care of work and playing Payday 2 all night again. l got really obsessed w figuring out the perfect heist for each heist on the most difficult settings. Its exciting. Its Hitman w random factors and teammates(who mostly fuck up). l have to tell people SO MUCH info on what to do to not fuck up lol.
Tues did work in bed for a long period of time. Its nice, making calls, checking and responding to emails, forwarding documents - all on my Iphone5. l love technology. So ended up gaming napping and gaming all evening. It wasnt anything too crazy. Just my long night busting my brain. Anti social tues night.
Weds was gonna hit up SIPs but cause of the rain people were bailing out. So another chill evening playing Payday 2 and Vicky ended up stopping by. Talked things out - somewhat lol and had a relaxing night w her. Nothing too crazy or different but it was really nice seeing her again. We'll see whats up in time. Just really talked all night.
Thurs drove Allison to her first day of Bucks Community College. Its actually her senior year of high school but she got all honor classes that shes just taking classes at the college instead. Worked in the evening following up w my clients and at night l was craving a buffet. Just feeling like a fatass ya know? So me and Brown hit up Hong Kong King Buffet and holy shit. We pigged the fuck out. 4 plates and icecream. l was having a good time. Talked bout a ton of shit and stuffed face and l was loving life. Played some Payday 2 when l got home and later ended up on the phone w Vicky for a while. Stopped by my office at 2am to scan some paperwork l got and then more Payday 2 lol.
Fri was wild. Hit up Ryan's studio and dropped off the stuff l got him from Otakon, DragonballZ statue and scouters. Next got Allison and she drove us to Philly as she was gonna spend the weekend there. Took care of work and most of what needed to be done was done on thurs. Later on at night gto Brown and Sam and we hit up the DNA Event at Rumor Lounge.
So we met up w Diamond, DavidH, Lien, Frank, Vicky, her cousin Lisa and Minh. So there was the 10 of us and we got there early and all got in free as there was an open bar special. So we all got to get in for free and drink for free from 10pm-1130pm. We ABUSED IT!!!!! It was kinda crazy how many drinks were ordered. So Sam suggested a Midori Sour and yo.... l fell in love. l kept ordering them for myself and others. Its an awesome girlie drink lol, l dont care. So we slammed drinks like crazy till 1130pm and our table was just constantly being slammed w drinks. We hit up the dance floor and had enough room for our squad of 10 to go wild. So just all dancing together, dancing w our partner as everyone was paired up, immature grinding trains and just flat out acting weird lol - l had a damn blast. Very fun time finally dancing w Vicky again. Its been since April since we last went clubbing together. 6 months!! We had such a good time tho. My overall fav night out w her yet.
It was perfect. DJs were on point, dance floor had room to breathe and move around and we were pretty drunk off all those free drinks. It was extremely ideal. Went from the EDM room to the Hip Hop room and stayed there the majority of the night and danced nonstop for 2 hours. Didnt even go for another drink - even water. Said night to everyone at 2am and we hit back to get Wawa b4 getting home.
Sat worked on my guestlists and ran out to do errands. Got Taco Bell and Midori and stuff to make Midori Sours and other Midori related drinks. Vicky came over and we chilled, got food and made fried rice, mussles and watched Breaking Bad. We were gonna head out to Rumor and Whisper but being so sore from last night we ended up staying in. Very chill night just bumming it w Vicky. Had a really good night and it was nice. lm glad we did it.
Sun hit up Hack's for his BBQ. Stuffed face, lit the hookah and made everyone Midori Sours. lm glad people really liked it. So had a chill day bumming it. Smoking, eating, drinking - my life lately lol. Just terrible consumptions. Later on we drafted FINALLY in Magic 2014 first time in a month. Just been rough getting 6 people together. So Brown me Hack Steve Scott and Fox all played and l ended up winning the draft cause lm awesome going Red and Black. Everyone yelled at me why dont l try other colors lol, screw it. Do what works. Had a good time drafting and beat Fox in the finals as we were the only 2 undefeated till we played each other. There can only be one.
Afterwards, hit up Domkey's and we got Amie. Ryan and Lori came through and Adam came through later on. Smoked hookah and made more Midori Sours for everyone. Afterwards, took out more alc and made drinks lol. Ok so its better to follow a recipe than YOLO it. Everyone yells at me for it that l play w food and alc too much and never make anything good lol. One day l'll invite something awesome. l use to make that drink in college some people called 'Heaven' which was Sprite - Lemonade - Blue Wave Vodka. Anyway.... l thought l did a decent job. We ended the night talking bout ghost stories we read online and just stories in general and ended up freaking ourselves out haha. Dom's cat just randomly appearing was freaking us out as well. Had a really good night spending time w so many friends. Hit home late night and chilled for a little before sleeping.
