I feel weird saying this but I do feel like I’m growing up somewhat and not a fan of it. The thing is, each time you cross a line in growing up, you can’t go back. It’s my Halloween analogy. Once you stop trick or treating and go to your first kinda shittty high school Halloween Party, next year you can’t go back to trick or treating. That is now done for you. Kinda bittersweet. You lose one thing to gain another.
It’s just that as everyone gets older, everyone’s sooooo worried bout being proper all the time and stuff and it’s like suffocating to be around. Like I know that’s growing up but it’s honestly just like… fake. And I get it and I do it too. Because for work, that fake business formal talk on the phone is very neutral. And personalities don’t clash if everyone is very basic and formal. But I feel like everyone carries that over more and more to themselves as we get older. I think it’s why I like when my friends are being completely vulgar and inappropriate. Not because it’s immature but it’s because they’re not being fake. They’re saying whatever without worried what people think.
Plus I think it’s funny when people are mad vulgar. The creative sick shit people say make me laugh.
Growing up kinda sucks.
7/4 Thurs July 4th was still up all night. Was organizing a lot of my lists and reading up on some shows that I keep up w. Watching Samurai Shodown for NLBC and then food hookah and Jessica Jones. Sad the Netflix Marvel shows are over.
Later on, got on my ps4 to play Samurai Shodown and Street Fighter 5 on ranked. Practicing for Evo. I’m pretty hype to go finally. Later on MikeK came over and helped set up. He brought so much food too. Thank you man as always. Friends started to make it and had mad food from BJs. Had a nice bbq and thank you Josh for doing the cooking. I know this sound really bad but l like buying and others doing the work. The whole throwing money at your problems angle is nice lol. But l did spend a lot on the food after all. I really shouldnt look at money that way though but lm honestly a really lazy person. We played the horse game again which was mad hype. Me and Min would win when we bet on the same horse ‘gay horse diamond’ lol. When asking ‘why did we say diamond is the gay horse?’ and Elwyn goes ‘cause its your horse and you gay’.... God damn it Elwyn… l’ve been dissing myself this whole time. Other guys were on Samurai Shodown and hung out till 9pm.
Headed out to Mary’s as her family had a lot of people over. Met a lot of new people and smoked hookah and had corona’s. Her family is really nice and outback was set up really nice. Had fun and stayed till l was passing out. Elwyn and the rest were calling me trying to convince me to hit Johnnie Walker Lounge but l wouldnt but able to drive there, let alone drink more and then drive back. Hit home and just passed out after being up for 27 hours or so.
Friday got up and hit Honda for an oil change. Thanks Josh for picking me up. Read up on mad gaming news and bummed it all evening. Later on picked up Jordyn, Molly and Mel and we hit up Chris’ pregame at his place and Anna was yelling shots as always getting everyone to drink lol. Lit the hookah and had a chill pregame and we hit up Johnnie and got the table by the DJ booth. Its that table and the table next to it that are my favorite. More space to dance.
Had a lot of dancing and a lot of friends came through. ChrisY and his crew made it over. TinaT came out. Evelyn was also in Philly and and her and her friends got a room but later on joined us at our table as well. Just danced w friends all night and we got 2 bottles to start. Patron is a good time but sometimes w tequila, l get hung over and mad dehydrated. Introduced friends to each other and it was just a really good night. Michelle and her friends also came through and later on met other people through friends. Squad was pretty deep overall and by 1am we killed our bottles. The guys were thinking bout doing more bottles and yoo it was a really good night so we decided to throw in for more. Champagne and another bottle. Partied till 2am and then afterwards we brought up the bottles we had for pregame and the hookah up to the roof of Chris’. Got in the hot tub in my jeans and we partied there… till 545am.. Lol. Just bummed and gossiped and l love my gossip. Ended the night which was really the morning. We headed out and got wawa. Molly made a post of us looking like trash w no shoes in wawa saying ‘they turned me into a crackhead’ ahahahhaiogahighaoig l was dying. Dropped off the girls, hit home to eat and sleep.
Sat got up late and me and Jeremiah hit up Avery’s party. Brought set ups and got food and yoooo rice w jerk chicken oaisdghosiaghoiahgioa sooo good. Good find Ben. Avery’s family really did well w the food. Played a ton of Samurai Shodown against people l havent played before and l did really well. Not only is Genjuro really good but this game just FITS my style. Smoked hookah, chilled w friends out front and outback and had a really good time. Avery was djing music and l gotta find his music. Theres a lot of songs he plays that l never heard before that l like but l’ve been trying to find new music. Had fun hanging w the gamers and left pretty late.
Got home to shower since it was just humid all night and me and Jeremiah played a lil Samurai Shodown and watched Imposters. Allison found this show and we’re so hooked. Edited COD BO4 clips of some wins and went to sleep.
Sunday got up late and watched the new Spider-Man Far From Home movie which is just a fun superhero movie. They play off that same Spider-Man angle where he just wants to be a normal guy and being a Super Hero keeps interfering w his normal life but it always works. They did the same thing w Smallville back in the day. End of every other episode would be Lana Lang saying shit like ‘Clark, if there’s something you want to tell me, you can tell me’ and ld be like ‘FUCKING TELL HER YOU SAVED HER LIFE LIKE 50 TIMES ALREADY AND THATS WHY YOU KEEP GOING MIA’ and he wouldnt and ld lose my shit again and again lol.
Hit home and some of the guys were over for Samurai Shodown and board games. Ate and started writing here in this blog. Played some Samurai Shodown online and ughhh there needs to be a ranking system where you only play people your rank. Its really hard right now finding good players. Right now the game is new so there’s so many casuals playing it right now. Ended the night watching a ton of Imposters and eating and doing the hookah.
7/8 Monday got up late and started work in the evening. A lot of lil things for the closings coming up end of July. Headed out to get shisha and Chinese food for my big Chinese food bucks county review lol. Plum Tree Garden. Def my fav. And they got Thai food too. They also got honey walnut shrimp even though most places around here don’t have it. Got to Pep boys for an AC pro for my car.
Got on Cod BO4 w the guys for multiplayer and Hot pursuit in Blackout and got a win. Too many 2nd places. Me Jeremiah and Brando booked our flights for Evo and then watched Imposters on Netflix.
Ended w reading gaming news and passing out to Ancient Aliens.
Tues got up late and did work and then went to my car to pump in the coolant whatever for my car. Brown saw me outside and hung out and we got it working. Dragged him w me to hit Giant for burgers and then got my car washed.
Hit back to my place and lit the hookah and made burgers and we started season 3 of Stranger Things. The homies came through for FGC night and got on Samurai Shodown. I def play well but there’s things I can do to play better. Maximizing punishes pretty much and understanding match ups. It’s funny cause everyone plays the same 6 characters really so hopefully I can either play good players using other characters or don’t run into them for Evo. Made dumplings and watched funny videos w the guys till 230am before knocking out to Ancient Aliens.
Weds got up in the evening and bullshitted. Took care of small things and stuff for work. My to do lists are actually getting really small and l dunno how l’ll feel when they’re completely done. Like you’d think it’d be a relieving thing right but l think l’ll be like… bored lol.
Ate a hoagie and started watching Baki that everyones all about. Hopped on Samurai Shodown to do mad testing. I like that the testing is very quick and easy. The game is simple so it makes it more focused on really just how you wanna approach and defend.
Later on we got on COD BO4 and got a win on Alcatraz and later another one on quads w the guys. Wondering how things will change for us when the new COD comes out but doesnt seem to have Blackout mode but more focused w multiplayer and campaign. The campaign l hope will be great again.
Finished Imposters w Jeremiah and then started watching Baki and couldnt stop. Watched till 730am.
Thurs got up late and worked all evening. Just a lot w the closings l have coming up end of the month. Got on COD BO4 w Vince and Peter and we just did Multiplayer to practice gunshooting and got some wins. Brando and MattK came to hang as well. Played Street Fighter V till late night and then watched clips of previous Blackout mode wins. We later watched NLBC watching the Samurai Shodown tournament and then caught up on my gaming news. Made burgers super late night and watched World War Z cause that movies zombies are the best.
Fri worked in the evening again and chilled. Worked on stuff on my car and Brown saw me outside and came to chill. Set up a lil for Josh’s bday and then made friends came through. Drank and hung out in the living room and later on played Horse for a while. Me and Paula teammed up and we were losing every game soooo bad. Later on, went from $1 games to $20 games cause its mad exciting and still wasnt having luck till later. Finally went up just $40 but better than being -$124 lol. Played the hand game, some chinese drinking game and we started teaching everyone and had fun playing that for a while. Ended the night smoking hookah out back and chilling w the remnants of the party lol.
Sat we had some chaos in the morning. Headed out later to get new locks lol. Yeaaaa… Brown came to bum. Later on Brando Eric Josh and Jeremiah were all hanging w us. Just watching clips, lit the hookah and just had a good time.
Headed out to pick up Paula and we hit up Vesper and split bottles w friends. Mad friends came through and also met a lot of new people from StevenZ. Hung out and later swam and just acted dumb in the pool. Back and forth from playing in the pool and socializing at the tables. Met a lot of NYC people who came out and had a good time. Took this big group pic and Marisa pushed me jokingly but l slipped to an umbrella and dragged it down and tore the umbrella. Then fell back and my ass fell INTO the ice bucket and then l fell over shooting the ice bucket all over these NYC girls l met earlier. Bruised my leg and ughhh GOD DAMN IT MARISA!! Played photographer part of the night for Shemmay’s girl squad and also glad DavidH came out. Had a nice homo COD Squad group pic again for the group chat. Had a good time hanging w everyone and it was a nice change of scenery. By the time we were getting out though it was too late to hit Adi’s bday at Johnnie Walker but l saw that was huge too.
Hit home and Brando came through. Made burgers, Brando did the hookah and chilled while watching mad Baki.
Sunday got up and the guys were downstairs hanging. Asked if they wanted chinese food as l was gonna try another spot for my Langhorne chinese food chart lol. Jeremiah said why not korean bbq and we ended up heading out to Kpot for KBBQ and Hot Pot. Ordered mad food and stuffed face till l hurt myself. If there is an all you can eat, l will either leave w my wallet hating me for not eating enough or myself hating me for overeating. There is no winning at all you can eat. Got more copies of the keys for the new lock and Jeremiah got a new cell and hit back to the house. We were broken from eating.
Turned on twitch to watch the Toryuken tournament and watched Top 8 of Mortal Kombat 11, Samurai Shodown and Street Fighter 5. We played Resistance for a while and then got on COD BO4 w Goof and Vince and we got a win w our classic outlander trick. Rough not having a 4th all night though. Afterwards, bummed as the guys were all still over hanging and playing games.
7/15 Monday got up late and just did work all evening. Booking house showings for the next few days and small things for the closings coming up. Headed out to pick up chinese food to test how good Jade Asia is. They got chinese, japanese and thai and since they got walnut shrimp…. Its a good test. Also having Tom Yum Seafood soup….
Stuffing face and watching shows and then video games and shit.
