l use to love Christmas more but then l got old enough to buy whatever l want lol so now its Halloween. The costumes, the chaos, the laughs and everything that come w Halloween is just perfect.
The past week.
Monday Halo 5 time. Me and Josh ate pizza and played Legendary Campaign on Halo 5 for the next 5 hours. It took a while for the updates to load. l got the game actually more for the story than multiplayer. Shooters dont excite me like they use to. l honestly believed that doing clan matches ruined normal multiplayer for shooters for me because organized clan matches where the whole team knows what their doing, is all communicating and working together is so intense that just playing 'ranked' multiplayer online l just see a ton of unorganized people running and gunning and yelling at campers(tho this is what pros do) and there is no satisfaction to killing someone who runs out into the open holding down the trigger full auto. Imagine a game where you kick chickens trapped in a pen. Its fun at first but it gets old fast because its mindless and easy. Thats what online shooters are like. The issue is - getting a clan together and doing organized matches is rough to sced time together.
l ALWAYS wanted a game to have official clan matchmaking where you party up a FULL party of friends as a clan and matchmake against other clans and your clan would have a win:loss rank and be put in a division. If there was something that, l think l would get excited for shooters again.
Anyway... l've beaten Every single Halo game and Call of Duty(xbox and up) on the hardest difficulty and like keeping that lil record ontop of hearing the storyline. We'll see what l do about COD Black Ops 3 and PS4... may just yolo buy the limited edition 1TB bundle for $450.
So later on still up from Monday night, now Tues morning, playing w Quigs on multiplayer. He's always been sooo good at shooters. This game, lm actually just meh lol. Not worried as l decided not to care bout Kill:Death for once and go for Win:loss instead and be a TEAM PLAYER YAYYY lol. Ate some food and then kinda just slept Tuesday away. Felt irresponsible somewhat but l took care of EVERYTHING Monday during the day so l wouldnt feel SO guilty ya know?
Weds l woke up finally at 5am and hopped right back into Halo 5. Awesome. Worked on our Halloween Event for Friday mostly as so many people had so many questions. Doing some last minute promoting and making sure everything was good to go. Headed out and got a ton of Pokemon cards and then had to work on the Hearthstone Event that me, Jeremiah and AdamN are working on at NEC16. Its weird how much history l have with running all sorts of events and how Event Planning just became a thing for me because l was tired of idiots running things so l rather do the work and make sure its done right so everyone has fun. l remember going to shitty ass parties when l was 17 and decided that I WILL BE finding the parties we go to from now on lol. Its funny how that rage lead to organizaning house parties, club events, bboy events, gaming events.
ANYWAY, lm glad thats coming along well and in general, l have to update my 3 decks. Aggro Zoolock, Mech Mage and Patron Warrior which there are 2 variants that lm going to switch to.
Caught up on my gaming news and then hit Diana's to work w Aiden on Pokemon again. So exactly what l predicted happened. He is winning because his deck is solely focused on Fighting and Neutral Pokemon while his friends are using just their best pokemon even tho there is no synergy which leads to longer wait times till attacking and attacking w the weaker attacks. So w two more prebuilt decks and a few more packs, we played some games and he made one really clever play l was SOOOO HAPPY ABOUT.
To simplify - he had a Pokemon out who could kill my pokemon but then it forces him to switch it another one of his Pokemon on the bench who is weak and would die the following turn and then l would win. He could use the weak attack to avoid this but wouldnt get the kill and is still at risk of losing the game if l get lucky on a coin flip for more damage. So l asked him 'are these your only two options?'. He played another Pokemon onto the board, attacked and killed my Pokemon and forced switched the new fresh healthy Pokemon he just played so he wouldnt lose the game. SMART gahhhh l was sooo0o proud. One day.... when l have kids of my own, l understand how exciting it is to teach and grow a child but for now, l'll enjoy hanging out w my friend's kids because l dont have the time or money or energy to have kids right now lol. Rita came by as well to hang out too.
Honestly.... l wouldnt mind if l dont have kids. l would like to be Cool Uncle Rob who shows up w mad toys and video games and candy to hang out w the kids and then pce out and leave the real life parenting to my friends lol. But anyway... hanging out w Aiden is always a blast and lm glad they enjoy having me over. Thank you Diana for the pizza and wings!
After, me and Rita hit her place to smoke hookah and watch American Horror Story and l took 2 shits at her place. lm ALWAYS SHITTING at Rita's lol. Hookah makes me shit sometimes and l know it does for other people too but yo.... lm like ALWAYS ALWAYS shitting there lol. Its great.
Hit home and watched Weds Night Fights online and Next Level and passed out to that.
Thurs worked on promoting both our Friday and Sat Halloween Events along w working on the Hearthstone event. Also trying to promote my friends Ultra Street Fighter 4 tournaments in Hatboro as l really really hope this place blows up for the Philly/Bucks County FGC. Its cool that spots like this even exist. When gaming eases a lil bit(doesnt seem anytime soon), l'll be focusing more again on Magic the Gathering - Modern format w my Affinity Deck at Stomping Grounds but for now... theres too much gaming go on to even keep track of.
Hit up Long's to get more passes and got Yan and hit up Allison's for a lil pregame. JohnV and Cindy came through and the 5 of us headed out for some last minute promoting. Hit a Upenn pregame before a Upenn run event at Rumor and got there late but promoted to the people there and then hit up Rumor. So it was $40 but TeeFish hooked us up and we went in, partied and promoted the event there for a bit. Rumor was ridiculously packed but fun. Last we hit up Masters and omggg....... worst DJ l've heard in the past 2 years. First off... he was playing FULL TRACKS and just had a big playlist and was working on some metal cylinder thing on the side while the music just played.... Second he was playing OLD AS FUCK CORNY SONGS like The Thong Song... l cannot get excited to The Thong Song. It was cool in 1999 LITERALLY WHAT THE FUCK DUDE!!! Holy shit l was so annoyed. Then other slow jams, full track, played one edm track but was remixed so it was SLOW aoirghaoirhgoai

Just promoted and gave up on trying to have fun there lol. THISSSS is why l dont go to LOCAL SHIT. Getting in for free and $3 drinks is NOT WORTH IT!!! Pay the extra money and have a much better time and go somewhere mainstream. Its mainstream for a reason. Its because they wont play the entire track of the fucking The Thong Song. lm actually mad.

Anyway, hit home afterwards and knocked out.
Friday just woke up and was working w people all evening about our event later on that night. Watching some of the 3v3 at Canada Cup and saw some friends play on stream. Hit up Soundgarden Hall for soundcheck and to introduce myself to the staff and hung out for a lil and then hit Allison's as there was pregame. Thank you Kim for helping get the door for people. Friends came through and had a fun pregame before going out. Had a few more drinks than usual, smoked hookah and always good just spending time w people socializing before the club. l think part of why l love pregame so much is that there isnt THAT much talking at the club. Its mostly acting silly and running around and laughing at people and gossiping who likes who like lm 11 yrs old lol. So pregame gives us time to just talk bout whatever. l love it.
KK so hit up Soundgarden Hall and ran in first getting VIP passes to the rest of Kandichet performing. lm glad this year, the staff was more relaxed and the guy guarding the VIP area said anyone walking in w me is good. Kept life SIMPLE holy shit what a good start to the chaos. Next up, people texting me that some people forgot their ID GAHHHH this is basic shittttt, then running backstage and having Kandichet new friends help me measure, cut and attach string to the badges for the costume contest.
Glad MattH and MattC came through and introduced them to tons of friends. Ran around and danced w friends a lil bit here and there. l gave myself a 2 song rule. After 2 songs, back to running around lol. Got a drink and told myself to chill. Checking up on the DJs and that the transition was smooth. Backstage helping Ericka run the Kandichet Fashion show.
Some dancing and drinking and trying to remember that lm prob making everything a bigger deal than it really is just because lve been working on this night for the past 6 weeks lol. After everything was good. Just found contestants for the costume contest and had a lil time to dance w friends again. 2am hits and ran the costume contest in which The Pope won the Best Villian lol, not sure if it was JohnV or who that gave The Pope a Villian card and then the big giant cooked turkey won Best Hero because he was awesome and the entire crowd was chanting 'TURKEY TURKEY!!' l was laughing pretty hard. l love that about Halloween, the ridiculous costumes. Hung out for a while after the event was over. Hit back to Allison's to clean and take out the trash and hit back home to knock out.
Def very happy with the end result and we literally had over 1500 people attend the event.
Sat woke up and was watching more of the 1v1 event for Ultra Street Fighter 4 at Canada Cup and promoting the DNA Halloween Event at Coda that was presale tickets. Ended up selling out all our online tickets but more people still wanted to go so had to pick up hardcopies we had left to sell them to friends. Got Yan and we hit up the Delta Halloween party to see friends and hang out as the line at Coda at 11pm was apparently the longest people have ever seen it. More friends came through to Delta and just had a good time drinking, dancing, peer pressuring people to do kegstands. One guy dressed as a ghost boo'd some girl who did an 8 second kegstand so l said 'can you do better?!' hahahahaha so he did a kegstand, 11 seconds, then started puking hahahahahahahah ahhh how old am l?! It was great. No matter how old l get, shit like that will always be funny. Dancing in the basement and oh man...... looks like getting lapdances were the thing haha, wish l had a seat. Partied there till 130am and then hit up Coda.
Coda was crazy full and ran around, dancing w friends, got drinks and used upstairs and the VIP section as the social spots for taking it easy. It was maddd hot in there w all the people in costumes. Partied there close till 4am(3am cause of daylights savings) and yooo lm getting old. My right leg was cramping up...... like... l feel old as fuck. Had fun and met some people through friends. Afterwards, me and Yan got McDonalds before dropping her off and hit home and passed out.
l love you Halloween.
Sunday got up and was hitting up all the promoters and organizations about payouts and about our meeting to get feedback and plan out future events. What l'd like to do is figure out the rest of the 2015-2016 school yr of 18+ Events now so we can start preparing for them to make my life easier later. Ontop of the fact that this Spring l just feel that lm going to be swarmed w work as Real Estate will pick up like crazy and then taking a bigger role in event planning... its gonna be a lot and l wonder if lm actually going to be overwhelmed. Watching the Ultra Street Fighter 4 Top 8 of Canada Cup and Ancient Aliens afterwards lol. Simple night. Gonna play some Halo 5 and do some real estate work before passing out.
