lm re-ranting again about this topic but l really do love talking bout. Hosting is just fun. Whether it be a party at my house, a pregame and then club event, just the guys coming for games of Magic the Gathering or friends over for drinks and hookah.... hosting is just really fun.
All my life.... going out was always a risk when l'd just go along with someone else's plan. It could be a great night or it could be a lame night and l wouldn't have much control over that. Slowly l just liked to take things into my own hands so l know me and my friends would have a good night. Running house parties, inviting girls, finding a way to get alc way back in high school was fun. Bringing out sooo many friends to their first club was always fun too seeing people go crazy and experience it for the first time. Then college, throwing parties was always fun w my Fraternity and being Social Chair for 3 yrs and just having control in general, plus having pledges mad life really easy and fun. Now being in more control of nightlife here and there.... as much as it's work.... l do enjoy it at the same time. lm a control freak in that sense.
There are these moments in a night that are worth stepping back and taking in. Moments when people are setting up a house party/club event. Moments when its prime time during the event and then the after party and/or the late night peaceful ride home.
Paola recorded a short video while we were driving back last night 8/2 as the sun was rising and we just had club music on and we had an easy ride and its just nice. The music video for Kaskade - 4am... is perfect to explain it. When l heard this track, l thought of late night drive homes after partying, then saw the track was called 4am and then saw the video someone made and its seriously perfect.

Knowing my friends and other people had a great night and l was partly/fully responsible for that is just a really nice feeling. l always felt that, if you have something to offer to your friends, indirectly you should use that. Some friends don't have much to offer and that's fine(not saying they suck), but friends are there to help you out in what they can. My best skill to my friends is making sure they have fun and l like that.

7/21 Tuesday had a really simple day. It was pretty much gaming day lol. So was ahead of my work and decided to just play a fuckloada Hearthstone. Followed up the evening w doing a lot of reading on Magic the Gathering. So there is a slightly more aggressive variation my Affinity Deck that l believe will not only be better but just fits my playstyle more. So fitting playstyle, you may ask 'how do you change your playstyle when you have a set deck?'. So in Magic the Gathering you're put in situations where you have to make choices that could simply win or lose you the game based on your choice. You always factor in the statistics of course of what the odds are of... if l do Choice A.... the chances he has X to stop me, l'll lose but those chances are X%. If l do Choice B.... it's safe but l could lose later on where Choice A might've won me the game right now. Choice C greatly increases my chances to win the game in X amount of turns by X% but still l take that risk of possibly losing later on and l could've won with choice A now.
In these situations.... say all was balanced to the point where each choice was fairly plausible by chance... l like to go w Choice A and yolo swing in for the win and this variation fits that. l like to have less chances of winning late game and more chances of winning early game essentially. Glass cannon style like l like everything else. Akuma has always been a Glass Cannon, even Zoolock in Hearthstone is Glass Cannon. It's just fun, exciting and being 'the beatdown'(from the famous Magic the Gathering Article) is aalways more fun than trying to be the person trying to tame and control the beatdown.

Anyway... ran some errands and got Wendy's and passed out early. Fun Tues.
Weds got up at 1am and played a ton of Ultra Street Fighter 4 and Hearthstone. Took care of work and worked on the event page for the big DNA Coda night for the after party for Tuner Evolution. Took a nap in the evening and got my haircut from Sarah before she leaves backpacking. She cuts it so good and fast. Got Emily and Sue afterwards and we got food in Chinatown and then hit up VA.
So we hit Michelle's and smoked hookah and KZ joined and brought Goose and drank and chilled. Just a simple night over. Thank you Michelle for having us!! Nice and bummy. Passed out at a normal time again lol.
Thurs was the crazy day. So we hit up the Skydiving center in VA and thank you Emily for getting us tickets to go Skydiving. It was always on my bucket list of things to do before l die but l didn't think l'd do it so soon. l figured my Bucket List would be when l was more.... settled down lol.
So got there and it was like 10 mins of training and then we just went... it was really quick. Sooo... l watched Emily jump right before me and yooo.... they don't let you hesistate. So l was up next and my feet shuffled out the plane and then l just felt the lean happen and l was falling. So.... l was sooo high up, l couldn't notice me falling. It was just a crazy view w wind in my face. 30 seconds of that and it was surreal. Like watching a movie. It's not the same dropping feeling of a rollercoaster or the other rides where you literally drop strapped in the ride. I more so felt like l was floating. Parachute didnt hurt as all compared to what l heard about and then l got to fly the parachute a bit which was cool. Hit the ground and l was still like.... in disbelief l just jumped outta a plan. Def an amazing experience and l'd like to do it again sometime again. Not as eager now that l did it but l'll go again in general.
So we got stuff to do an oil change and my AC wasnt working. Hit KZ's place to change the oil but something w my AC actually fucked up my engine timing belt. l dont know shit bout cars but l was learning a lot. KZ let me take his BMW to Baltimore for Otakon. Talk about really nice guy right? So thank you so much KZ for that! Saved my weekend. Hit up Baltimore and Otakon had problems w the machine w early badge pick up.
Hit up Clarisse's place and met her friends and good seeing Olivia again too. So met Allen who plays Magic and Hearthstone so we just gamed all night. Anime was on and it was cool to just talk to a ton of people about gaming and anime all night lol. Def had Allen in Magic while he destroyed me in Hearthstone lol.
Friday got up early and used Uber to hit a ride to Otakon to get my badge early, the group met up afterwards as a ton of them went at 6am but l wanted to sleep and got mine at 830am. Not a long wait. So Gaming room opened at 11am and l was holding down one of the Ultra Street Fighter 4 set ups from 11am-1pm nonstop. Playing best 2 of 3 games and beat 15 people and then left at 1pm to go play Magic the Gathering in the Draft going 5-2 rounds, 2-1 in games. My deck was meh. Allen played as well but we were at different tables.
Got food w Domkey Goof Vee and met everyone else, Michelle Lizzy Khin and An. We hit the dealer's room and l got 3 posters from UDON's stand and its Cammy, C.Viper and Juri. $40 for 3 and they were all the Street Fighter ones and they look so good and l was like fuck it and got it. There was mini photo shoots as the group was all dressed as Naruto characters. An made them really quick the night before and it was pretty impressive. Bullshitted around and then hit Vee's place.
So got there and good seeing Dan and Serena too and had a small party. First we were judging choreo videos and then judging videos in general lol. So ended up having a 3v3 battle and the ideas that they came up w were hilarious. Twerkcious vs Twerkcopolis lol. Just splits, ass shaking, twerking in a handstand, twerking on the wall, the baby routine where Michelle fucks Goof, he gets pregnant, she delivers the baby and Domkey jumped inbetween the hole Goof's and Michelle's legs make and takes the pillow and hits the other team... it was beyond hilarious. Def a really good time w new and old friends. Hit back to Goof's to pass out.
Sat got up and we hit the Gaming room and did the Ultra Street Fighter 4 tournament and didn't do so hot. So it was single elimination which is mad rare. Lost in game 2 against the guy who went on to finals aiorhgoiahrgoia.. so yea... got unlucky on line up but it happens and he outplayed me well. Met this guy Hassan from the day before from playing games and he joined me for Magic the Gathering. Very cool dude and always cool making new friends. Again went 5-2 rounds, 2-1 opponents. Beat a girl dressed as something but she knew what she was doing and almost beat me game 1. Also the last person l played was supppperrrr serious and was eyeing me up earlier and even Kotey noticed and said something to me about it. Also 'hot Storm hot Storm'..... 'can l take your pic? Turned out to be a man... lol ahhhhh...
Afterwards, met up w the guys and me Hack SteveC Vee Domkey and JohnP drank at the hotel room and then hit the Masquarade. Drank and watched super cringe worthy performances lol. Some were funny and some were....... aoishrgoaihrsgoiahg. Aftewards, me and Domkey hit Goof's for a small party. Playing Kings and junk and had a lot of laughs. Nothing too crazy but cool partying w new friends l made over the weekend. Passed out late.
Sunday we hit up Vee's to get our make up done and did a really good job on me and Domkey's make up as he was Shisui Uchiha and l went as Akuma as always. Khin and Bounme both gave us a photoshoot and really happy w how the photos turned out. Def fun tho a hot day and found friends here and there. Met up w Clarisse's squad at Hooters and got the BMW and hit back to KZ's. Thank you Clarisee and Goof for lending me a place to stay!! Hit KZ's house and found out my car would need a new timing belt but they couldnt get to it till Weds. So stayed at KZ's for the next few days and knocked out early.
Monday me and KZ got pho and Michelle came by later for hookah. Just bummed it and caught up on more stuff and had a chill evening. Facetiming w Emily and was just catching up on a ton of gaming related news. Watching tons of Street Fighter V videos and also reading bout Ultra Street Fighter 4 news. Ordered a ton of chinese food and ate and played some Hearthstone before knocking out.
Tues got my car towed in the morning and played A LOT A LOT of Hearthstone. Watched the movie Hercules w the Rock and it wasnt bad and then watched the latest Transformer's movie. Eating chinese food and playing Hearthstone. Really really simply day. Knocked out lol.
Weds played Hearthstone and bummed it all day till my car finally got fixed in the evening. Thank you KZ for hosting me for so many days. Def awesome that a new friend would do so much for me including loaning me a BMW to use for the weekend. l def owe him big time. So my drive took forever leaving at rush hour at 630pm. Traffic was sooo bad and my car no longer has AC working but it rides again and no longer has those weird sounds l'd worry about lol. May fix the AC but l plan to get a new car soon. We'll see. Depends on how much money l make for the rest of 2015 but even if l make a lot.... l like seeing my bank account grow. l just need more money in general so l can invest in SOMETHING aoirghaoirdhgaoirhg... last time l invest was in Disney stocks wayyy back when it was $65 a share and l dropped $6k in it but it was a bit too much as l needed money in the winter time lol.. Plus... it wasn't enough to drop into it. That stock is now at $120 but... doubling money over 3 yrs isnt much if its just $6k..... Now if l had $100k to drop into it and woulda double that... that woulda been ideal. l dunno... even doing what Ryan did and buying a duplex... live in one floor and rent out the bottom floor. Egouiharogihaoighaorihgaoi l need more money.
K so anyway.... got home late and knocked out not too long after stuffing face. Had to do some work and organize my life after being gone for a week.
Thurs had an Ultra Street Fighter 4 online tournament w the Dark Hado group lm in where it was only Oni, Evil Ryu and Akuma character selections. Of the 18 people, l came in 4th. Robert, KD and Jr Rodriguez were all fairly better than me and my match against KD was insanely fun and close. Robert just had good control of me all game. The rest l faced werent anyone too close to my level. Def fun times and was a nice lil group bonding. Followed it up by talking bout doing it again but streaming it. Could be def a fun day.
Spent the evening doing work and watching videos on Ultra Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter 5. Night time, met up w Long to talk about future events as we had Rumor fri, Coda sat and then the 18+ events we have this Fall. Good meeting as always and headed out to get Emily. Got her and got food at Shain's place, Kraftwork. Def cool menu and good to say hi to Shain. Glad we found his new place so quickly 2 weeks earlier and its perfect for him and his girl for many reasons. Also saw Alex, JaneJ, Burch and Jasmine and said whats up and caught up a lil. Hit back home and me and Emily knocked out early.
Friday we just ate and watched Shark Tank and bummed it all day lol. Def didnt mind that. We ran errands later and then worked on figuring out the night. So w people unable to make pregame, we ended up getting Catherine and Allison and then hitting up Tango for drinks for Glen's girlfriend's birthday. Did shots and oh man.... Kenny gave the group a second free bottle and yoooo shots like crazy lol.
So hit up free open bar at Rumor and l dunno if it was neccesary since we just had a pregame at Tango lol. So abused it and we stocked up on drinks at the table on the side of the bar. Its not even for drinking but for the abuse. It's just fun to 'beat the system' just was getting extra drinks to save for friends who swung over. Partied after most people came through and had fun dancing room to room. A lot of friends came throughout the night and was just nice acting dumb w Emily on the dance floor all night. We had a few coordinated moves lol. 2am pced out and dropped everyone before hitting home to knock out.
Sat got up and Adam got me and we hit NYC to get Paola. Hit up Tuner Evolution and checked out so cars and the bboy competition and found and caught up w friends. Good seeing friends from all over the place from NY to MD/DC/VA. Not too long after tho, the fire alarm went off and we had to bounce out.
We got food at Dim Sum Garden and stuffed face and lm really really loving that place. Hit up Mike's and smoked hookah and did some shots and then Adam dropped me and Paola off at sound check at Coda while he got Sam. Sound check went really smooth and then hit back for pregame.
So tons of friends came out to pregame. Some new friends as well made it out and did mad introductions best l could. In general, it only took a few minutes for friends to meet and start talking and its just cool to see in general. Had a nice chill pregame and Adam also ordered the fight to be shown on Mike's projector. Smoked hookah, did a ton of shots and watched the fight. Pregame was a lot of fun and was happy everything was going along smoothly tho my phone blowing up was kinda making me go crazy but its my guestlist and thats where the money is coming in from.
Hit up Coda and got everything situated w Paola DJing and Emkay and Elizabeth Tran for gogo dancing. Crazy that l've known of Elizabeth Tran for a while now for being a top import model/gogo dancer and she was gogo dancing for event. Kept track and let Emkay and Liz when their 20 mins was over and when their 20 mins break was over. Got drinks and water for Paola and the dancers and around 115am.... everything was situated, guests were in, mic was now working and everything was good.
Hit the dance floor finally and danced w friends acting dumb on the dance floor as l just needed to get weird after all the worries l had. l worry too much. In general... l always plan for the worst to happen so that way lm prepared for it but at the same time, l drive myself crazy by blowing things out of proportion lol. Danced w friends and in general... SO MANY friends came through Coda. Couldn't even talk or chill w everyone. Like seriously.... every usual club goer came out. Introduced friends to friends and the dance floor was a ton of fun. Paola always does a good job playing bangers. My belief is.... dont play stuff people dont know bout but you think they'll like... play the hype tracks where when it drops... you hear that 'Ohhh shittt!!' from the crowd. Its funny how you can notice it more from the DJ booth.
Partied till 3am and oh mann l was soo beat. Afterwards, people wanted to take their pic w Paola and that took a lil bit. Hit back to Mike's to chill for a lil and pack up and thank you Mike and Sam for helping host pregame at your place. Def good to always have a spot to get everyone together before going out. Afterwards took Paola to NJ and hit back home getting home at 7am.
Sunday woke up at like 845pm.... yeaaaa.... so sleep sced right on track!! Ruined as always. JohnV told me about going to Haven as they got a suite to pregame at and stuff. Was thinking of it but it was so last minute and l was still a bit outta it and starving and would have to rush to get to Atlantic City to start drinking lol. Def next time tho. Got groceries for my brisket, some kale and dressing and had a chill evening preparing my brisket and eating kale. Watching Ancient Aliens and playing some Hearthstone.
Monday napped from 8am-2pm. Ran errands in the afternoon and got my checks, hit up Gamestop, the bank and got mad vitamins to try to be healthy. AdamW came by to eat brisket l was slow cooking and gave him money for gas and tolls from driving this past sat all day. Chill hang out and afterwards streamed Ultra Street Fighter 4.
Played a long long set w Jr Rodriguez aka Pikachu Akuma. Played w him for over 2 hours getting my ass kicked but learning some hard lessons. Best to learn the hard way - losing a lot. l think playing online does make me weaker in ways since l play a lot of noobish people who l get away w doing unsafe, unsmart things. Def good games w Jr Rod tho and fun streaming it. Ended my day watching this documentary called 'Inequality for all'. Def really interesting stuff.

Tues l got up late and took care of some work and bummed it till my meeting w Mike and Long. Had a chill meeting talking bout stuff for the future and in general, always good to bum w those two. Def hope some future plans work out as l hope for.
Got Emily afterwards and hit the Giant to get a ton of stuff for salads and crap and worked on our twitch channels. Ended up taking it easy and watching Attack on Titan before passing out. really simple day.
Weds we got up a bit late and got lunch at this Thai place as l was craving some Lemongrass Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai. Tom yum soup is my overall favorite soup in the whoollllee wiiiidde worrrrlllddd!! Its just soo good. Afterwards, she got her nails done and l got my eyebrows done and afterwards hit up the mall and shopped around for a bit and got some junk. Nice day out but it was then bum time.
Worked on our twitch channels learning how donation and follower notifications work and then watched the first episode of Sense 8. So first episode was like.... weird.. dunno if we're gonna keep watching it but we keep hearing from people its really good. Afterwards... lots of twitch tv. So Emily started finally streaming Hearthstone and peaked at 15 viewers which was great for a first day. l was pretending to be 'just a friend' lol cause l know of course why these guys are watching her. l was playing Hearthstone too on my phone. Def a fun night of a lot of Hearthstone and she got a bunch of followers and slowly see if its something she's gonna get into. Hopefully donations come through too and in waves of good amounts so we can get her stuff lol. Def a fun night and glad she started streaming.
Thurs got up late and did a bunch of work as l got some things for the future. Ate pierogies and bummed it all afternoon and then later on Brown got back and we pced out to get Jenny. Hit up Bliss for restaurant week and the food was really good. First time having octopus. All the food in general was really good but dessert was the best. The lil cookies, milkshake and lemon shortcake were banging. Fine dining isn't really my thing but it's fine to do here and there. Makes the females happy anyway lol. Dropped Emily off and she cried because she was going to miss me so much. Jk but l bet she was sad when she got in hehe. Just gonna take it easy rest of the night and maybe stream Hearthstone, Magic and/or Street Fighter lol.
