Sup Guys, l've been reading my past blogs about my past Halloweens, looking at old Halloween pics and also looking through the DNA Halloween pics of the past years.
l just got sucked in looking at a ton of pics and reading past blogs seeing the webs of groups of friendships build over the past yrs.
With using Halloween each yr as a marker, its actually pretty crazy what pieces lm putting together. lm seeing pics of current friends in old albums who l would've met earlier if l stayed in Philly rather than have went to Maryland.Its just..... weird thinking what if l was HERE instead of THERE that night. Going back to the 2010 and 2009 DNA Halloween Albums..... there are A LOT of my current friends in them wayyy before l met them. Party friends, gogo dancers, bartenders, girls l dated or were my girlfriend later on and even some people who lm chilling w now. Its just funny.
Philly asians especially..... the community is really small. From Fall 2009 which is when my girlfriend at the time Rachel got me into going to DNA Events to now Fall 2014 to now being a Partner at DNA.... its just nice and funny to look back at all the that has happened within the past 5 yrs.
Maybe lm a weirdo but l think its really interesting. Theres pics of current or recent couples but both of them at the same event before they met. My friends who bartend and hook me up w drinks but back then on the dance floor. Like what if l actually danced w one of my friends 4-5 yrs ago and didnt realize it and then became friends w them last yr or so. Seeing Villanova Sigmas and Temple ASR all at another DNA Halloween Event that l missed lol.... what if l met them there in 2010 rather than 2012 but then wouldn't have became close w UMBC aKDPhi.
Hack says lm out all the time and everyone is at all the same spots and everyone meets everyone eventually so it doesnt matter and thats true to some extent. Me and Sameer(my roomate Sophmore year on college) turned out to be at the same massive parties in high school but just never met till college. lm sure theres MANY other friends l might have met or could've met earlier out on the same nights and places l was at. Still.... its funny to see old pics and see my friends 4-5 yrs younger before l met them tho at the same place w me or other friends.
Lemme piece things together actually since 2009 because 2009 is my first Halloween out of Kutztown when this current block of life starts. lm not gonna write about EVERYTHING everything... but lm lm like freaking out. l'm pretty much webbing it together the same way History Channel's 'Mankind the Story of all us' does it. Life usually happens in time blocks of 5 yrs it seems. While of course, everything blends, typical high school, college and post college all have its own feel overall.

2009 l started dating RachK, a promoter and gogo dancer for DNA who brought me out to DNA Events and then my friends started coming out too. More than half my friends are into asian girls so that just fit.

Friday DNA Event Club Polaris. Got on VIP as me and Domkey were performers. Heres the first funny thing. So was MelissaC and Thuy. l remember Thuy winning the costume contest tho.
In 2013 l met Thuy and told her she should do it again and she came in 2nd
l also became friends w Emkay then and Celine who gogo dance. Also my girlfriend at the time Rach was gogo dancing.

So right there, was some small friendships. Emkay lm still good friends w who also use to work w Vicky and its just funny l saw but didnt meet till years later Thuy and Melissa.
Then sat night l hit a house party earlier then later DNA Event Adesso.
AmyLe was there, my friend who use to bartend at Whisper but she was there that night too. Along w Melissa again. Just crazy we were partying at the same place all weekend but l didnt meet them till years later. Met Melissa in 2011 at another DNA Event when she was my bottle host and Amy in 2012 at Whisper.

That friday night l met Michelle and the rest of aKDPhi and started dating Michelle. Thats was also the night someone pooped on the floor hahahahahahahaa... that thread...

l was posting past DNA Halloween events just to promote our Halloween event this weekend and l glance at the pics and look who l see. Would Ryan and Lori have met earlier? Would l have met everyone earlier? Then Sat another DNA Halloween event. But everyone there l already knew.
In 2011 we did another Friday night in MD for halloween on Sat back in Philly.
Sat, thats when we met Zuley bartending at Yakitori Boy which lead to us chilling and meeting her whole group. So we all hit Yakitori boy for Halloween. And Ryan let me wear the Akuma costume!!!!

Halloween 2012 we get a big squadron out to Halloween. Fri night l actually stayed in w Vicky and sat we go out. We party w the Villanova Sigma's frequently and it was my 1st Halloween w Vicky which starts a tradition that she is w me for all big DNA Events. Old and new friends are gogo dancing as Emkay is around and Binh starts her gogo career and Jess wins the costume contest as Spider-Woman in full paint... totally nude.

Halloween 2013 Thurs night Halloween Event at Whisper w my squadron, Vicky and the Sigmas. Fri house party Halloween night then ended up at Whisper again for Round 2. Sat night DNA Event at Soundgarden Hall Halloween Event. Oh yea Jess wins another costume contest.

So..... what new friendships will my group make this year?! What groups have formed since the last Halloween and who is still out me every yr?! Its crazy looking back at the web of friendships over this current block of life. Its just fun and l love Halloween. l love my Akuma Costume too.
l love that l blog and love that l take massive pics. Because looking back is honestly fun for me. Trust me, l have an amazing present and lm confident my future will be amazing too but l still like looking back as well.
KAY now this week.
Tues l was still up from the night b4 and made breakfast at 9am. Working on my lil side projects. Its very peaceful. Slept all day and later got up for house showings w Eric and Kristi which is always fun. l relate a lot to them because they are really social too. They like pregaming and going out every weekend and Eric was always hyper when we were kids.
Later on got groceries and had the guys come over. Me and Joss made spaghetti and meatballs for everyone and friends came through to chill. SteveF AdamW SteveC MattH all stopped through and lit the hookah and had a good time smoking and chilling and then ended the night playing lots of Smash Bros 4 while Adam played Destiny. Def a good night and didnt know SteveF was a serious Smash bros champion. Talk about rapage. My Bowser is the only character l have well enough to be competitive. l wanna mess w more characters but most of that time is spent on Ultra Street Fighter 4. Def a fun night w the guys and its good to revive nerd night. We all havent gotten together to game and chill in a while.
Weds woke up late and just worked on projects and got my haircut. Later on hit up Villanova and dropped off flyers to Liz, an active Sigma for our Halloween Event. Got Vicky and we got groceries cause we were gonna make dope ass food. So hit back and made several dishes. Well first we worked on Walnut shrimp(without the walnut) and a creamy spinach and sausage pasta. Yooooooooo we are pretty bad ass. Both dishes were REALLY fucking good. Walnut Shrimp from David's in Chinatown is one of my fav dishes and it was just as good.
Watching Walking Dead to catch up and had a really good night. Def lovin the fact we are cooking some banging ass dishes. Watching some of the Ultra Street Fighter 4 tournaments in NY and Cali and then bed time w the butt.
Thurs got up early and ate the rest of my walnut shrimp cause it was banging. Then back to sleep haha. We got up later and spent the afternoon watching American Horror Story. So lm really liking it. Its different. First off... being scared on a tv show is different. lm scared in the movies but l never been scared watching tv besides Unsolved Mysteries as a child cause l was afraid aliens were coming for me. Anyway... We made shrimp and pasta but this time we made lemon hoison shrimp which was good too. The pasta was just cause we had more ingredients and l needed extra meals and lm lazy lol.
So more American Horror Story cause we like to binge watch shows. Binge watching is the best. Was gonna watch one more episode but then something came up.... literally lol so we couldnt watch episode 6. But its ok, the episode can wait. Drove her back and was sad as always. But still a very good two days w the butt. Esp that we been cooking banging ass dishes again!! lm impressed. She makes me a better person..... atleast a better cook.
Friday streamed Ultra Street Fighter 4 or a while during the day. Watched Scandal and drank champagne w Jieun and followed it by food and hookah. Def a chill day. We always get tired mid day when we wake up early lol. Just around 2pm a headache kicks in regardless what lm doing trying to make me sleep. lm totally useless at this time if l wake up at 8am or so. l cannot get anything done. So took a nap cause l needed to anyway. Big friday night ahead ya know. Well my nap wasnt even too good.
From 430-8pm l was woken by calls and texts for guestlists so l didnt get the best sleep. Later on MattC came through and JohnP made it out along w his friend Brit, a Top 10 DDR champ. We picked up HakB and hit up pregame at Weili/Emily's. Thank you guys for always helping me out there on pregame. So tons of friends came through the night and Jen and her roomate made it through to as l introduced them to everyone. Introduced MattC and Brit to everyone too and lm glad everyone got along well. No babysitting needed. So drank and smoked hookah and played YOLO poker. But everyone that stood at this one spot kept winning! l was stubborn to change luck and not move but l shouldn't have. l shouldve moved to that spot. Oh wells.
Next up Rumor time!!! So got a few in free on my list and reduced the rest and we ran in squadron deep. Def a very fun night and John told me he had a lot more fun than he expected. That is the stuff I LOVE TO HEARRRRR!!!!111 People having a good night coming out. Our group just danced together in a massive blob lol. There was one annoying ass kid who was trying to be 'too crazy' and kept trying to start dance circles.... but yo.... Rumor one isnt big enough for that.... second, its just lame if theres only one person in a circle. ALWAYS..... l dont get peer pressured anymore to show off but when l did, l never liked it if it was JUST ME. Cause think about it.... the circle is made, l do some shit and when lm done, theres this awkward moment of an empty circle and then it goes back to normal. The only times its worth it is if there are multiple dancers down and they are AT THE VERY LEAST decent dancers. A hype circle where tons of people are watching and cheering. If its not like that, its not worth jumping in letting alone make. As much as l love attention on myself.... l love it when its casual, not forced ya know?! But yea... def a really fun night dancing and l was sweating grossly like a beast. Lower back and legs killed. We were on the dance floor all night w very few bar refills.
Hit back and me and John smoked hookah out back and ate pasta me and Vicky made. Really good times and had a good talk about A LOT of stuff. Def glad he slowly flowed into the overall party group. Def a fun night. Late night Michelle/StarmieGee hit me up letting me know about an Ultra Street Fighter 4 tournament shes hosting that got sponsored. 8 sat nights.... 8 people tournaments.... winner of each makes it to TOP 8 in Dec 27th for finals. Prizes for 1st 2nd 3rd and 1st place plays a secret surprise guest for another $300 lol. lm curious who it is. Showered and snacked and passed out at 8am.
Sat slept all day. Like.... woke up at 8pm. Hahahaha l didnt care.... my body ached SOOOO bad from friday. Cause of everyone being out and having such a good solid group, l danced so much. Plus lack of sleep. l was up for 24 hours anyway. So looked for plans late. l was actually a bit too sore to party. So Mike and David told me they were going fishing along w Max and maybe AdamW. Decided to do that.
Smoked hookah w Joss Jieun and Brown and had drinks and a chill night. l really like the fact that they are there to always chill w. The fact l can yell out my door to chill. Ahh its so nice. Seriously it reminds me of the Fraternity house. Friends just right out the door. ITS SUCH A NICE FEELING. So afterwards, l bought a game DoorKickers for $20 on steam. Really interesting different game and me and Joss streamed that. Def fun and just had nachos and junk and played and talked w friends who were watching. Having video game time w Joss is always nice. lm glad he got back into gaming again.
Sunday went right in from sat and later on at 2am l left to Mike's and got food and David and Max got us and we hit LBI NJ to fish. Tried the beach first but l think it was just wayyyy too shallow for us to get anything. No bites or anything lol. Did shots of vodka w pickles and yoooo Mike l told you.... everyone said, its Pickle juice and vodka... not pickles. So eating the pickles after the shot did nothing but make me complain and Mike got a good laugh outta it. Thanx homie lol. We fished at another spot and got bites but yooo blackfish are so fast. Plus we think there were too many baby fish not shallowing the bait whole but nippling it. Had some fights but yoo didnt realize how strong fish are.... or maybe l didnt realize how weak l've gotten. My body is ass to what it was in the time of 17-24. That time my body was at its prime. But had a good time w the guys and we tried. Def gonna try another spot w David in DE that he caught a ton but its just a hike.
Stayed up still and ate breakfast w the Base. Always nice snacking and socializing. Streamed Ultra Street Fighter 4 for a while and stayed up. Bullshitted all evening and didnt really do anything. Was mad tired but swore to stay up till 8pm... another 24 hours up. Made it and passed out at 8pm.
Monday woke up at 8am. Got a TON of work done all morning and had lunch w Jieun and Hack at Buffalo Wild Wings. Thank you Hack for the lunch. Hack came over and we smoked hookah w Jieun out back and talked about a lot all evening. Hack's dialogue is gold. He really is an entertaining guy cause he's very strong on his views and has some filth mixed in there and its just how he delivers it. He's hilarious. So afterwards, played some Smash Bros and beat him 3-2. Def enjoying that game a lot but l dont play it much. Any free gaming time goes to Ultra Street Fighter 4. lm still doing fine w Bowser, just l totally suck w anyone else. l wanna have several characters in that game since its more a for fun game than competitive for me right now. l dont think lm tournament ready at all however w my Bowser. Its viable but l'd still go 0-2.
Later on hit home and got stuff from my Mother's home and got my new IPhone 6+. So yoo its actually not TOO big. l love it. l was gonna swap it for the IPhone 6 but then after l saw Hack's l was fine w it. Got home and fixed up my phone. Had a chill night and just bullshitted and worked on junk at night b4 passing out.
Tues got up a bit later and had a productive day again. l am liking that lm up normal hours and getting shit done. l feel when lm up really late and its my time, its more to work on personal projects than work. l do work late night as well but l can only do so much since clients are asleep. Later on had house showings w Eric and Kristi and they joked around w me 'Did you get Rob's email?' 'yea at 430am?' hahahhahaha but here's the thing. l always get my work done. Even if its after partying. Long day house showing w Eric and Kristi. Def fun tho and we saw some good homes. Talked bout partying and junk and they're easy to relate to.
Hit back and ate a small dinner w the Base and later on Scumbag Squad came through. Hack SteveC SteveF MattH and AdamW came over. Smoked hookah and played some Smash Bros 4 till MattH got here and we drafted Magic the Gathering's new set. SteveC has been drafting it frequently online and w the wins, it pays for his next draft. He said its the most fun set he's ever drafted. Def glad about that. However drafting and playing best 2 of 3 takes a while. We all only got 1 opponent in before it got too late. Plus people wanted to play Smash. We kept the decks since it was so much work to only play one person. l beat MattH hehehehe w fat ass creatures and mana ramping. Typical basic Green strategy. We later on played 4 way Smash and passed around the 3DS since we had 5 of us. Lots of Smash Bros and def had a lot of laughs w the guys. Just a really fun night w them and glad Nerd Night is making a comeback. Cleaned up and had a chill night after they pced.
