Sup Guys, the bad luck streak continues.
The weird thing is, it’s not just me but a lot of friends lately. And as shit happens here and there to me, some of my friends got it worse. I dunno whats going on lately but I’m still staying positive but I kinda feel crazy. Like I’m just use to shit going down now lol. I laugh it off to mask the pain…
Anyway…. Bad shit happens. Good stuff will happen too. I hope lol. But yea now l’m just getting numb to it. This is what working a shitty job feels like. You just get use to it. But thats sooo bad in general.

With everything else… I need something new to get into. Just l need something to work on thats fresh ya know? Usually video games is a great place to start. Cheap, quick, convenient and def exciting. But lately… there’s no new games lm hype for coming out. The new Call of Duty Modern Warfare will be a nice change as I l love the Modern Warfare series. I HATE the jetpacks and wallrunning and shit. COD was where l could enjoy the slow methodical pace which l like in games. Just like in Counter-Strike and RainbowSix Siege. There’s a lot of THINKING not mindless rushing, kill kill die and repeat. Just like Street Fighter V and Samurai Shodown. I like precise decision making, not mindlessly low risk low reward just go for this and if it doesnt work, oh well. I like big pay offs for smart thinking. I am starting to get back into Magic the Gathering but lm waiting for the next set to drop to see what this year’s decks will pan out to be and see whats GOOD AND FUN to play.
Outside of gaming though, l dunno what else to try. Rock climbing l know is something more friends are getting into but it doesnt seem like mentally enough for me. I dunno if there are rock climbing tournaments where you all race the same path but that would make it wayyyy more interesting. Still, l like my competition to be a zero sum game where its me vs someone else directly like chess. Not where me and my opponent are both trying to reach the same goal faster or better like racing in a straight line(racing where you can cut people off and DO something about your opponent is different) or going for a high score.
I just need something exciting to work on.
Sooo the past few weeks.
7/31 Weds got up doing work. Organizing listings but couldnt do too much since I was gonna leave to Vegas. Double checked my packing and l really pack light. Im too lazy to carry heavy shit around. Got my work done and we headed to the airport!!!!1111
To find out our flight is just straight up cancelled or take a sat flight and miss everything wtffff….
So we hit back home and brainstormed. Take the financial hit of the hotel rooms, venue fees, game entry fees, sunday tickets to finals for 4 of the games. Everything…. It was around $400 to eat.
Figured out another flight. Costing another $200 plus time travel and also costs of getting to NYC for a flight but its better than the $400 additional cost to go from Philly. Watched the new trailers for the new DLC characters for Street Fighter 5 as they got leaked.
Watched ancient aliens for a while before going to bed.
Thurs we got up and headed to the train and took a few trains to get to JFK airport. Had some delays but luckily we left extra early to be safe. Got on our flight to Vegas finally. Plan ride was smooth and watched Captain America Winter Soldier and landed. Got to the hotel and found food first as we didnt eat all day and it was 11pm. Stuffed face and found Ernesto Lopez who makes good youtube videos for Street Fighter V. I find the guy mad funny and it was cool to meet him in person since we already talked on facebook. Played some craps and the table was Crapless craps. Def interesting. Played for 2.5 hours and broke even. At that point it was pretty late and just hit the room to sleep. We couldnt use my PS4 to the tv as they blocked HDMI’s for some reason so sadly….no practice…
Friday got up and hit EVO!!!!!!!!!1111 Finally at an Evo. Every year l talk bout wanting to go but I finally just started making moves to do it and lm finally there. Checked out some of the vendors and then hit my matches for Street Fighter V. Lost to a Urien then beat a Ryu and then beat an M.Bison. He switched to Cammy and took me out and so sadly l went 1-2 in Street Fighter V. Not where l wanted to be at all. Was hoping for 5-2 atleast.
Next hit Samurai Shodown and oddly, the famous person in my pool was 2nd seed rather than 1st seed and l was put on his half, that player being Xiao Hai. God of King of Fighters, another SNK game. Same company that makes Samurai Shodown. So beat my first opponent being a Charlotte. That player l beat also beat the top seed player in loser’s side. So the top seed player was really a nobody since they just got 0-2’d. Then l played and beat a Darli.
Next was Xiao Hai on stream. So played him and took rounds each game but lost to him overall. I did better against him than l thought though. Was cool to play on stage at Evo though. 4th match was against the Charlotte player l beat first. He looked at me like ‘ughh fuck this guy again’. I beat him again and felt kinda bad cause he just got double jeopardy’d by me(got eliminated from the tournament losing the same person twice) but hey, its happened to me too from making it outta pools before in Street Fighter V in loser’s finals. So went 3-1 in Samurai Shodown and made it outta my pools!! Wouldnt be playing again till Sat morning… 10am….. Are you serious?!
So afterwards, got chinese food and found a longsleeve Evo shirt l really like but l needed a longsleeve for the flight back and Evo itself being pretty cold. Hit the after party and hung out and met Faye Mata. Thought she was just someone’s girlfriend at the event but she was there on her own and found out she’s a legit voice actress and then saw she’s Lulu in League of Legends and in Kakagurui as the popstar and a character in Dead or Alive. She’s also two characters in the new anime of GranBlue. Hung out w her pretty much the rest of the night and talked bout games as shes mad legit in Pokken taking 17th out of 1,100 ish some people at Evo before and a Regional Champion at Smash Bros.
Afterwards, we headed out and got food at Hash house to go and stuffed face and hung out late. Did some gambling and went up a lil. Brando said ‘lets gamble together’ and we played some roulette and blackjack and went up together as a squad. Me Jeremiah Gabe and Brando.
Sat got up early as balls…. Felt like ass since l got 3 hours of sleep. I got no sleep since weds. Was feeling off and nervous. First match, beat a Yoshitori player, then next, beat a Charlotte player. The player after used Charlotte who l beat, then switched to Tam Tam and l lost game 2. I KNEW it was all about the lifelead against this character and took risks early in the rounds game 3 to get the lifelead and sit there waiting for him. Tam Tam is AMAZING at defense but bad at offense so as long as l had more life, he had to go on offense or I WILL sit there till time runs out. Took him game 3 and the 4th opponent was also watching my match behind me. He happened to play Tam Tam as well. Because he was watching me start the round w Cr.B all the time cause its so good, l knew he’d use a Standing B to beat me out start of the round. Took a risky game 1 round 1 Parry and got him hahahahahhaha METAGAMEEEE!!! Got a huge damaging C on him and rode that lifelead. Beat him and yayyyy made it out of Pools Round 2!!!!111
Did not think l’d make it this far. Sadly, if l was on the top half of my first pool, l woulda went 3-0 and only had to beat 2 people rather than 4 people to make it outta Pools Round 2 but whatever, I got there.
Right after was Round 3 of Pools. It was me, another American and a ton of Japanese players and still Xiao Hai who l’d have to fight again if l won my next 3 matches. So first match, took out another American’s Yoshitori and then played against a sponsored Japanese player’s Yoshitori who played much more differently who beat me, eliminating me from the tournament. Ended w 8 wins, 2 losses and took 65th place out of 1,729 players. Top 4%. I’ll take it. Everyone l beat, l shouldve beat and everyone l lost to was truly better than me. No big mistakes that happened that got me a loss l shoulda won.

After got some Monster Hunter World figures and me and the guys played this Royale Rumble game that’s dumb fun. Watched a lot of pools of Street Fighter V and Samurai Shodown and made some new friends just talking w players next to me. Just joked around and had a great time being there. Watched Top 8 of Samurai Shodown which was mad hype which Infiltration won.
Made it on Eventhubs too for my placing for Samurai Shodown. Hit the room to nap for a while then got up for the HyperX arena party. Chilled w friends. Found Reza too and good catching up w her. Had drinks and socialized and then back to gambling when that closed. Went up as Oil king was rolling well for me playing the field in craps. Made me a quick $95 in 3 rolls lol. We did some more group gambling and did some roulette and blackjack and yooo fuck the blackjack MACHINE that shittt was stupid. 20 20 21 19 21 being the dealer’s past 5 hands on us. Are you serious?!?!?! Had a 20 when the dealer had 21 too. No busts. We got more food and then finally hit bed at 6am.
Sunday got up early and hit the Arena for finals. Watched Street Fighter V finals and that was pretty good and was wanting the Zangief player to do well since its fun watching Zangief. Glad Bonchon won it in the end cause he deserves it and took sooo many 2nd places in the past 2 yrs. Gamerbee, PR Balrog and Fuudo were sitting behind us too. Took a nap after and then we found some food.
Gambled more and won more in Blackjack and Roulette as a group then shit went to hell and lost it allllllllll in craps… real fast. WTFFFF. Hit the HyperX arena but was full and videos didnt seem like it was too fun anyway. Bummed in the room for a lil then headed out for food and then did an O2 spot for pure oxygen but it didnt really do much. But the electric massager thing was so dope and yolo bought it. Went to bed late again.
8/5 Monday slept in, l needed it so bad. Got up at 3pm and ate and then gambled as we had to kill time till 7pm. So bad…. So was losing more money till l met this crazy black dude that l got along w and me and him just went full stupid on bets. He kept betting high on the field and ‘l cant leave you hanging’ so l went in w him. We went up and down but mostly down till l started rolling. I made us a TON back and then we started to lose more later on when there was other rollers. Went even and left. Hung w the guys for a lil then l got bored… more gambling it is.
So l went back and the dude was still there and we were going pretty even. When l had 20 mins left, l was still overall even for the trip and wanted to either go home winning or losing. Slapped a yolo dumbass $50 on the field. Totally reckless. My yolo EX DP as betting high on rage tilt was paying off for me all weekend. He said ‘I got this 12 for you right now’ If 3 4 9 10 11 rolls, l woulda made $50, if 2 rolls l make $100 but yooo he hit that 12 and l made $150 and walked off hahahaha good shit bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 Pced out and hit the airport.
Watched the movie US on the flight which was really really good.
Tues landed at 5am and ChrisH got us and talked the whole car ride back. Lit the hookah god l missed you lol. Hung out for a lil and bummed and did mad work. Had sooooo much work to catch up on.
In the evening visited my family and had a family dinner. Glad to see Allison as l thought l wouldnt be seeing her much since both of us had so much going on lately. Dinner was really good and l know it really makes my parents happy for us to be there.
Dumpling sessions squad came through and held a lil New characters only Street Fighter V tournament. Chris took 2nd w Lucia and Kyle won w his E.Honda. Had a lot of fun and made mad dumplings. We got Jeremiah a cake for his birthday and sung happy birthday while he was in match lol. Cake was mad good and had fun showing people the electric massager as we would crank that shit up on people to watch the pain lol. Def a really chill night. Big turn out and glad to have another night of games.
Weds got up late and did work. Booking house showings and sending out listings. My car battery was dead though and missed dinner w my parents. It was ok since l had more work to do anyway. ChrisH drove us to BJs to get mad food and stuff as we were outta several items and l was lacking on food. Did work all night and then later on hung w the guys as they were playing D&D and made food. Played COD BO4 w Vince Beezer and Goof and we got 2 wins. One in the new Zombie mode where you turn into a super zombie if you die. Def a lot of fun and glad to get wins so quickly after being off for over a week. Bummed late w Chris Brando and Jeremiah, smoking hookah and shit. Went up to my room to do work and catch up on a ton of gaming news. Ended the night watching the new anime on Netflix Granblue Fantasy which has a fighting game coming for it in Feb 2020. Also Faye who l met at Evo is in it.
Thurs got up and had to get my battery jumped. ChrisH’s hood wasnt popping and we called Triple A which was just annoying as the operator just hung up and it was taking forever. Chris came up w the idea ‘lets call an Uber and just tell them whats up and tip them well’ GENIUS!!!!!!!111
So we called an uber, gave the person a heads up w just needed a jump and got that done. Headed to Philly and there was a big accident that had me take a detour… BUT THEN THE DETOUR HAD AN ACCIDENT WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF…. So it took me 2 hours to get to Philly. My jesus…… So got my friend and checked out 7 homes, 5 of which she really liked but has to confirm w her business partner first. Homes were really nice but they will be when you got a good price range lol.
Hit back home afterwards and got Wawa on the way, dropping off some to Vince since his car was blocked in and he couldnt get dinner lol. Got home and sent out listings, answered emails and got a shower.
Got on COD BO4 w Vince Beezer Peter and later Goof replaced Beezer and got 5 wins w them. It was a good night.

A bunch of friends made it through and had a fun dinner. It’s been a while since I went to Yakitori to JUST eat. Got this eel w rice tho and yooooo…. It was soo fucking good. I’m remembering it for the future. It was really simple and clean. We got bubble tea at Vivi and then hit Johnnie Walker to party. Got our fav table spot and we got a couple of bottles and hookahs. Introduced other friends to other friends and also DavidH came through as it was his birthday as well.

Met some new girls from other girls l met a few weeks back and hung out w them most the end of the night. My ride was missing cause Thuy kinda died lol. Good thing we had 2 cars. Felt weird not driving for once. Its kinda nice but also… l feel kinda vulnerable. Hit back home and bummed w the roomies and Brando. Lit the hookah and finished Baki. Hyped for the next season.
Sat got up and hit up house showings w Quay and Tara. Checked out a few past properties along w some added on last minute. Def a lot of flexibility in what we’re looking for and had a good evening checking out homes w them.
Hit back home to send new listings and get a shower as it was hot and my AC in my car is still a bit busted. I’ve kinda gotten used to suffering… Had a bum night in. Was so beat from just everything lately. Testing some stuff on Samurai Shodown and yoo… went online and just beat up a few players flawlessly and hopped off undefeated.
I love the game and all but online SUCKS so bad because there is no matchmaking by ranking. And also the way points are earned and loss is mad shitty. Pretty much, finding a good opponent is pretty hard and even if you find one, when you beat him, they may just run rather than rematch because they care about this mindless ranking system lol. Street Fighter V is great because now I’m in Diamond, l face up to the highest rank of players and learn a lot more each match. I hope they fix this w Samurai Shodown. Tournament results is the only thing that actually matters.
Played a lot of Street Fighter V w the roomies too and online. Learning a lot bout Lucia as both Jeremiah and ChrisH like using her. Alex, Brando and his girl came through and hung out pretty late w us as well. Ended the night late night watching Ancient Aliens. I dont think Aliens are the answer to EVERYTHING in that show but the show does bring up A LOT of cool mysteries of the past…. Then says ‘aliens’ which is always an answer. Some stuff really makes sense.
Sunday slept in pretty heavy. Got up to send listings and book some homes and hung out w the guys downstairs. They were playing the Bloodbourne board game. Ate some pizza, thanks Josh and hopped on Street Fighter V. Went through Poison’s move list and worked on my punish guide. Even w the numbers, you still gotta manually go over each punish because of pushback and also factoring in if its point blank, close, midrange or further out. Played online a lil bit and just bummed w the guys all night. Later on hopped on COD BO4 for a while. Just needed to switch up my thinking when playing games.
Late night/early morning l made ramen and these stuffed chicken breast things while restarting the original Fullmetal Alchemist. Gonna watch this then Brotherhood. Watched Fullmetal ALL NIGHT into the next day.
8/12 Monday still up watching Fullmetal Alchemist. Yooo its still so good even though l know the crazy twists and shit. Just seeing how they built up to each point is done so well. Headed out for house showings in Philly in the evening, relooking at some past properties and visiting some new ones added on the list. Showings went well and then drove straight to Vince’s.
Got a shower and brought extra clothes and we played Poker from 8-1130pm. Ended up losing $5 which is no biggie since l had in $60 at one point. Hit back home and just knocked out.
Tues got up and did a care care package for my car and then got some groceries. Burgers, potatoes and shit. Made baked potatoes and stuffed face. I take my baked potatoes serious. Salt pepper butter sour cream cheese bacon bits onion crisps… Its seriously serious.
Ate and watched Fullmetal Alchemist and damn…. This show was just really well done. Got some work done and caught up on gaming news. Took a nap.
Friends came over for Dumpling sessions and our lil Samurai Shodown tournament. Plural ended up winning it. Lots of friends brought food which makes me happy. Everyone sharing and shit lol. Made potato fries and pizza rolls and yooo… brownies Amanda brought were pretty banging. Spidey brought a ton of chicken nuggets. It was a fat boy feast. Hookah lit all night and played JeremiahR(phatboi) in a long set against his Poison which is pretty good and it was good to have some match up experience as searching for it online isnt easy. Watching Oversimplified videos and yoo they’re soo good.

Weds got up and sent out some emails for a client w questions on some properties and then headed out to get my teeth cleaned by my Mom and then my cap replaced. So the fake temporary cap… l like it. Its a gloss clean feeling lol. I kinda wanna keep the temp one long term. I gotta get the new cap and a top right wisdom tooth removed in 2 weeks.
Got my tires filled w air, some gas and Taco Bell and hit back home. Took it easy as the guys were all downstairs chilling. Hit my room, caught up on my gaming news and stuff. Watching the Oversimplified Youtube. Its really well done. Slept while watching Ancient Aliens cause that show is amazing.
Thurs got up midday and took my Dad to the train station. Did some work and then some brainstorming detective work as everything is just crazy and it’s really bad how useless some cops are. Its like playing Batman. But just the detective part. Slept a lil more and then got up to do work and headed downstairs. Josh made some banging steaks and stuffed face. Thank you Josh as always. The dude really cooks well.
Got on COD BO4 w Beezer Vince and Peter and we got 4 wins. Outlander and consumer trick a few times. It’s just very satisfying to me winning in an unorthodox way. Josh showed me how to make the rub for the meats and then hung out w ChrisH downstairs just chilling. Ended up playing a TON of Hitman 2 as there was a fair amount of new content. Went overboard on it and played all night into Fri morning.
Friday morning still up, checking stuff up on Magic the Gathering. Reading gaming news and junk. Knocked out midday and got up later to hang w the guys downstairs. Just watching shows, smoking hookah and Brown swung by. Brown got us food, thanks Brown and some really good news for Brown happened that is relieving. I swear we need a Deathnote. Ate food and played Dragon’s Crown Pro that is cool but it’s a bit tooooo easy for us which got it kinda dull real quick. It was like beat’em up D&D for beginner’s. There wasnt even a setting to up the difficulty. I like playing hard games because there is a feeling of accomplishment when beating each level/boss/game. Its why I love the Dark Souls series soooo much. Bummed it more, reading up on Magic the Gathering Limited right now. May just go ham and go for Mythic rank for both Limited and Constructed. We’ll see.
Bummed late and re-did a deck with the cards l had, not based solely on what the sets offered. That would be too much to focus on since in a month, 4 of the 8 sets are being taken out and a new set put in, making it 5 sets to choose from rather than 8. There is way more predictability of course every fall with less cards to choose from so you kinda understand the match up easier. White token based on just making mad tokens and having me draw extra cards because of one card and another card that makes tokens 4/4 Vigilance Angels when they come in. Had fun playing it and landed the combos which was very fun. Combo decks are fun to aim to pull off but l dont like relying too heavily on them since you need certain cards to be drawn to start. Still, it’s fun. Up all night playing Magic the Gathering, watching this show bout mysteries of the world on Netflix and later caught up gaming news.
Sat still up, adjusting new mtg decks, ancient aliens. Finally slept at lunch time lol.
Got up at 9pm and hung out w the guys. Brando and MattK were over and just took it easy. Adjusting Magic the Gathering decks lm working on and playing online all night while smoking hookah. Ordered chinese food. Just really bummed. Really enjoying Magic the Gathering again.
The decks l have now are:
Black Sacrifice themed deck where l have a bunch of cheap creatures to sac towards other benefits for other creatures and spells to gain an advantage early game and ride that. Creatures that die and create a token are the best since l get to sacrifice from one card 2 times.
Orzhov Vampires theme which is killing Standard right now. Its really god damn powerful. Just boosting vampires, stealing life and other big ass vampires that do multiple cool powerful things. Real simple standard solid deck.
White Flyers theme where the whole deck is flyers and some removal and then some bomb Angels that help the other flyers out big time. Real simple standard deck that plays itself.
White Tokens theme where its all about making tokens and then other cards that give big benefits to when tokens are created. Turning them into 4/4 Vig Flying Angels, drawing extra cards and shit.
All 4 of these decks lm enjoying a lot. Not gonna go too ham on it since so much is gonna phase out October 4th. Just enjoying it to enjoy it. When Oct 4th drops, thats when lm gonna take it super serious.
Sunday still up. Got lost reading about shit. Started w North Korea, then their ghost ships, then me figuring out the distance between capitals of North and South Korea and aoirghoaisrhgaoihr….. Then its 1030am…
Hit up Brown to see what he was doing and ended up jumping in his car as we both had errands to run. Hit Newtown for shisha first and then hit Oxford Valley mall cause Brown needed a ton of new dress clothes and suit. Hit Express and Brown does what l do but overboard and just bought a ton of clothes of a few similar things. ‘This looks good, l’ll buy a few different colors’. It is simple though. We hit Neshaminy mall as we couldnt find a perfect fitting suit at Oxford’s Express. We found ONE suit that fit just right at Neshaminy lol. Hit Rite Aid to get a few small things for the house and then hit back to my place to bum.
Because I’ve been obsessing w Magic the Gathering lately, l showed Brown my new Orzhov Vampire Deck and we ended up playing together for 3 hours lol. Just there is SOOO many good things about this deck.

ALL of these factors are the same w my Affinity Deck in Modern. Like its seriously like playing an alternative Affinity. I’m nervous to see what it’ll be like when a ton of cards phase out this coming October.

8/19 Monday morning woke up at 7am and was just energized. A lot of rest. A chill weekend. I love monday mornings lol. Its just l feel ready to get shit done. Hit up a lot of friends l sold homes too to help get my Zillow reviews going. Was nice to catch up w everyone too. Hearing old friends talk about how much their property went up since we found it and all that they’ve done w the home since then. It was a nice morning. Sending out listings and helping other friends get started.
JustinR hits me up seeing if we can play a lil Street Fighter V as he’s really into the new E.Honda and hopped on my ps4 to play w him for a while. We got to catch up for a while and congrats on being a Father Justin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pced out to BJs and got a ton of stuff for the house and some food and came home and unpacked. Bummed w House and kinda got lost playing Magic the Gathering Arena again. Made burgers, stuffed face. Friends came over for D&D and l hopped on COD BO4 w the guys for 4 FUCKING WINS IN A ROWWWW oihadrsgo;ihao;gihaogi yooooo… our 5th game we lost at the very end to some dude just blasting us w a shotgun in the final circle aoirshgoiasdhrg…. We never hit 5 wins in a row before, we have hit 4 wins in a row in the past. We also never hit 10 wins in a single night but got 9 twice. Its just 2 records lm trying to break. For us.
Anyway, afterwards just hung in the kitchen w everyone while they were playing D&D and l just played Magic the Gathering Arena. Just destroying people. Making adjustments to the deck constantly. Tues got up and picked up my sister Allison and my Dad from the train station and dropped them off. Did some work and house showings for weds were good to go. Played some Street Fighter V w JustinR again online for a lil and also had him face ChrisH for a bit.
Headed back out back to my parents and got dinner w my family and hung out for a lil. Dinner was chill and l know it makes my parents happy to have the 4 us together. Bummed till a lil past 7 then hit back to my house for Dumpling Sessions FGC night.
When l got back, there was already a ton of people over. Made some food and yoooo so many people brought food and drinks. Thank you guys! I didnt even make the dumplings cause it was already set. Played some Magic the Gathering Arena w Brown w the modified Orzhov Vampires Deck and then played sets w Eric and Gabe in Street Fighter V and Al in Samurai Shodown. Hookah was lit all night and it was a great hang out.
Weds got up and did a lil work before heading out for house showings. Got Burch and Yan and we checked out 6 homes all over Philly. Def a really productive day getting them comfortable with the market and always nice house showings w friends. Saw some we really like and it’s easy in higher price ranges to like a lot of homes. Dropped them off and hit back to do more work and then hopped on PS4.
Played against JustinR’s E.Honda for a while and then just played Magic the Gathering Arena for a while w the modified Vampires deck. It’s slightly more modified to the true version everyone is playing and I see why. There are more interactions than l realized now playing with it and thanks to MattChang last night, l learned some more lil tricks l could do. Thanks Matt. Smoked hookah and took it easy w the guys. Packed for the trip and bullshitted online a lil and caught up on gaming news.
